Dale's RC World — Local services in Burlington

First, Google Maps and street view do not show their correct location. The store is right next to the exit ramp from I-40. Google shows it being several hundred yards further down the road.

The guy behind the counter was really nice and helpful. He was helping another customer with wrenches in hand when I walked in but I got a greeting and he asked if I needed anything when I was just walking around to see what they had. Once he finished with the previous customer he helped me and went digging for the obscure little bolts I was looking for.

They are mostly car with boats and planes bringing up the rear. I'm a plane person but they had some hardware and control components I needed and I'll certainly check with them before buying a new plane. The prices were very fair and I'd much rather buy locally than from strangers on the Internet when I can. I wish they were focused on planes but I can't fault them for focusing on the...

I didn't buy my rc from here but I have purchased many parts from Dale. He is extremely knowledgeable and will tell you sizes of things you need off the top of his head. I enjoy every visit that I have here and am helped with all of my needs and questions every time. I took my truck in there today (which like I said I didn't buy from him, just moved down here from Michigan) and I was having an issue with the driveshafts which I thought was gonna be a differential issue, instead of going for a differential sale (bigger money) he looked over my truck and found that a hex stripped out and took a bearing with it, the man is like an rc doctor and super honest. Cost me less than half of what a diff would of cost and it's back up and running just fine. My next rc purchase will be from Dale due to his knowledge, honesty, and just being an all around good guy. Hobby grade RC cars is a new hobby that I’ve picked up these last few weeks. Needless to say I’m in a learning curve trying to figure out which car, what parts to change out, the functionality of servo’s & esc’s, what pinion is best for running on concrete vs grass, to get maximum speed, etc. It can be overwhelming to a new hobbyist but Dale has been a true blessing. Very patient in teaching me what to stay away from and which to choose. He never sells me on anything I don’t need and he works with me on the things I do! I can tell he is passionate about this hobby and that passion reveals itself in every conversation I’ve had with him.
