My one and only experience with this store was terrible. I purchased a discontinued weight rack online, advertised as a “floor model”. It was a great deal and the exact model that I wanted for certain reasons. The store is 2.5 hours away from me so I made a special trip for this. Before leaving home, I called the store and spoke to someone about my purchase. Because I know people can make mistakes, I asked this person to put eyes on the rack and make sure it’s ready before I traveled there. This person said yes it’s here and even described it in detail to me. So I hit the road. When I arrived, someone, possibly a manager, wheeled out the newer version of the rack I ordered, which is not the right item and I certainly wouldn’t have traveled for it. It seems the person I talked to on the phone never looked for the rack, maybe just described the online picture? They wanted to make it right by giving me the newer rack at no extra charge. The remorse was weak. Frustrated but hopeful that I could profit from selling it, I drove home with the item I didn’t want. It’s been nearly two months now I’ve been trying to sell it at a deep discount from Dicks retail price. I may end up returning it within the 90 day period having made no money to offset the time and gas expenses I incurred as a result of Dicks’ total screw up. You did not listen to me when I called nor did you appreciate why I called ahead. I told Dicks corporate about it and spoke to a Customer Advocate. Basically they have no interest in truly making this right either. So buy online with caution. Or just go in the store. Or better yet...
Read moreEverytime I've went to the store the same manager seems to end up in the same area I'm in and never ask if I need any help. He'll just watch me like I'm a thief, my friend have witnessed it himself once while shopping I told him it's a manager in here that appears every where I go and sure enough he's at the other end of the aisle. It's quite funny I've noticed any white person that have walked in he'll great and ask if they need help but yet I'm followed all around and even at the cash register he'll walk up and stand there. Call it what you want but I know racial profiling at it's finest. I've even went as far as walking to the other side of the store to make sure I wasn't over thinking and sure enough he's appearing where he can see me. Not a thief never have been never will be my money spends just like others (white people). He shouldn't be a manager if his outlook on life is racial profiling when...
Read moreIm a true believer that first impressions are usually correct even if it is somehow masked. My grand daughter and I visited yesterday for a specific purpose. As soon as I walked in a man and woman were talking. I assumed they were team leads, perhaps managers. They saw me and the woman immediately said is there something I can help you with? For the record, they did everyone like that came in. At that moment, I felt attacked. If this was the welcome committee, I didn't feel welcomed. I felt somewhat harassed in a subtle way. Customer service o should have a natural feel this experienced made me feel like I was intruding. It was awkward. TIP - Just greet people with a natural tone if you can. Don't force the experience. This would have made my...
