Our experience has been quite unpleasant. We spoke with the salesman back in June, 2021. We selected a custom door and were made aware that our payments for the purchase of the door would start before the door would actually arrive. We understood and agreed. So far, that's the only part of this purchase that hasn't gone awry. By September 2021, we've made a couple of payments by now and no news on the door. I call our local store, and they have no information but give me a couple other different numbers to call. Ok then. It ended with calling their Home Office. It's eventually determined the door hadn't even been manufactured, at this point. The door arrives and is installed in late October. The technician tells us its missing pieces for around the seal, and has the wrong insulation piece on the bottom, its too short by about 5". He says he'll order the parts and be back to install them as soon as they come in. The middle of November, the door starts to show signs of bowing from the frame. The light is visibly coming through around the frame. We call again, asking about the ordered parts and informing them of the bowing. Our local Home Depot said they couldn't help us, this was on the manufacturer and out of their hands. December rolled around, and a different technician came out and installed the new parts and took pictures of the now very obvious bowing of the door. The same tech came back in January with a whole new door panel to install - We were excited to finally put this issue to rest. Until it was realized the door was manufactured upside down. It had to be returned.
Unsure what to do at this point - we can't return it and have our old one back lol but, knowing this pretty door requires extra material to be closed in it to keep the gusty winter air out may change your mind of making this purchase, or any entry door purchase through The Home Depot.

Read moreI went into the Home Depot in Owosso today (3/2/2025) looking to buy a 46 inch husky toolbox. I was in the store within the last week and there was one on display. Regular price was 398 and it was on sale for 298. I saw online that the sale was still going on (see pictures). I went in and they didn’t have any on display, but they had one left up on the shelf (the two gentleman that got it down with a forklift were very kind). When I went to buy it the cashier said the price was 398. I told them about the sale and they said it wasn’t coming up in their system. I told them that I was in the same store within the last week and it was on sale on display. They pretty much told me that I was lying and that they never had a sale. Even with showing them the sale on my phone (yes the store on my phone was set to the one in Owosso), they said they couldn’t confirm they were the same even though they were the same toolbox. After standing in the store and arguing with the managers for about 30 minutes, they told me that they couldn’t honor the sale and that they would sell it to me for 398. I politely declined and walked out. I drove to the Home Depot in Haslett within the next hour and walked over to the toolboxes and confirmed that the same toolbox as the one in Owosso was in fact on sale for 298 (see pictures). Going to the Home Depot in Owosso was a huge waste of time and the store in Haslett sold me the same toolbox for the discounted price with absolutely no issues and were also...
Read moreMy husband and I spend a lot of time and money in the Corunna MI Home Depot. Tonight we went in looking for some closet organizers for our sons closet. We found it would be cheaper to buy the kit then all the different pieces. So we where looking at the kits and decided that the $27.96 one was the best option for a small kids closet. Small , but still have enough different options and affordable. So we go check out and it rings up 86.96. We asked the girl at the cash registers and said she was calling a manager. A manager came over, a very young guy. No manners at all, scans item and says it’s clearly $86. I say well it was marked 27.96 and he said to me so rudely well someone sat it there and it’s clearly $86. And he just walks away. No I am sorry for the mistake, no apologies, no let me see if I can find the $27 one, no let me help you, no nothing just walks away. I am sorry if it was in the wrong place, but I didn’t put it there. We clearly thought it was $27. As a manager of a retail store myself, I know that this happens all the time but I also know that it’s not the customers fault. Mistakes happen, you help the customer out or at least give a little discount for the inconvenience. I would have been happy with I am sorry, can I help you with finding the $27 one. It was an horrible way of handling this...
