A mud slides experience (a mud slide is not a mud bath, we thought we would be getting into a tank of mud at some point and did not)
The spa solage made me feel as though I had been transported to a new realm. As I sat in my robe, just outside the dressing room, waiting for my partner, I couldn’t get over how other worldly this place felt. Everything was bright white and pristine. It was a place that nudged you to whisper and move thoughtfully. Once my partner had put on her robe as well, we entered the main garden and began walking to the pool area which was complete with a sauna, steam room, mineral baths, and cold plunges. We did it all, sipping naturally essenced water and delightful tea between each facility.
When the time came for our mudslide, we were full of a a calm, clean energy. We were escorted to a private room where our guide gave us a bucket of cosmetic grade clay and instructed us to coat ourselves with it, then rinse off when he knocked. He remarked that there was a wonderful rainfall shower for the rinse.
He left, and we did as we were told, we coated ourselves in the clay then laid in the heat waiting for it to dry. The process of it drying was itchy and mildly uncomfortable, my partner and I giggled the whole time, laughing at ourselves for paying for this.
Our guide then knocked and we began to wash ourselves, I opted to use the rainfall shower. I do not suggest you do the same. It is legitimately a death trap and I have no idea how they can legally have it. It sits on a raised platform in the middle of the room, around 3 feet off the ground. Already a mildly dangerous experience to climb up there when your body is covered is slick clay. The rainfall controls are on the wall and inaccessible while on the platform, so I turned it on, ensured the water was at a good temp then hoisted myself onto the platform. About 15 seconds later, the water suddenly turned scaldingly hot. The whole platform was covered by the scalding water, so I had to jump down to the wet ground, while covered in slick clay. I almost fell and It would be easy for someone to get seriously injured. Crisis averted for us, but others may not be so lucky.
Our guide then took us to the next room where we had a mineral bath, it was nice and the provided chai latter was stupendous. I was a little confused at this point, wondering when we were getting in our mud tank, but my partner had already pieced together that the mud tank wasn’t going to be part of this. It appears we have not been the only ones to suffer such confusion.
The final step was for us to enter a nap pod. They really hyped it up, but it’s just a recliner with a weighted blanket, and some nature noises. Neither of us fell asleep.
Overall, the spa is nice, but I wouldn’t recommend you do the mud slide unless you just want to giggle with your...
Read moreMy experience was nothing short of perfection. It's a true wellness destination. The highlight is undoubtedly the incredible collection of pools. The main resort pool is stunning, with a vibrant yet relaxing atmosphere perfect for lounging all day.
But the real magic is at the spa's bathhouse. Moving through the different geothermal pools—from the warm mineral pool to the invigorating cold plunge and then the hot pool—is a heavenly circuit that melts away every bit of stress. It felt both therapeutic and incredibly luxurious. Having access to all five pools makes you feel like you're on a comprehensive wellness retreat.
I was also extremely impressed with the fitness center. It's not your typical hotel gym. It's spacious, immaculately clean, and filled with state-of-the-art equipment, including Peloton bikes and a great selection of weights.
From the serene atmosphere to the attentive staff, every detail at the Spa at Solage is designed for pure rejuvenation. I left feeling completely refreshed and restored. I cannot recommend it highly enough and am already planning...
Read moreI treated my mom and my sister with the ultimate renewal package (total $685 per person for mud slide, signature massage, signature face). Based on their experience, it didn't seem to be highly worth the price. They mentioned that body massage was the best and the rest weren't as great, especially the mudslide was the most disappointing one.
Mudslide was highly over priced ($200) for what it is. They were just given a small amount of mud pack to put on their skin by themselves and spend some time. Then they were given some salt, again to put on by themselves. Do not recommend.
Signature body massage ($235) was good. My sister and mom liked it the most.
Signature facial massage ($250) was okay. They had better facials from other places before at cheaper price and it was nothing extraordinary.
If I had an option, I would give 3.5 stars. Maybe it's still worth visiting for the entire experience with the sauna and thermal pools, but I won't try...
