This hotel was spotlessly clean, the rooms were large, with a few amenities like a microwave and refrigerator and the beds were so comfortable. The bathroom was also really modern and clean. The breakfast was quite limited in options but everything tasted great and the coffee with French vanilla cream really was the best filter coffee l've ever had!! One thing that we weren't overly impressed with though is that they didn't offer any housekeeping services because we were only staying for 2 nights, we would have expected to at least have our bed made up for the price we were paying! We did get given fresh towels because we asked for them. The hotel also has an outdoor pool and fitness centre but we didn't make use of either. It is a short walk into town approx 10 mins and there are restaurants, wine tasting rooms, bars and shops. I would definitely recommend Best Western Plus Stevenson Manor, thank you for a lovely stay.

I came here for work and I thought this was overall a nice hotel. The rooms are clean and the staff are all very kind. HOWEVER the communal peanut butter, jelly, and Nutella jars gave me the ick. I stay at Best Westerns frequently for work and I’ve never seen this before and hopefully will not see it again. I love the idea of limiting single use plastic items, but this is probably not the best way to go about doing that. It also feels like there is a huge cross contamination risk for people with nut allergies. I don’t really know why I got so hung up on this but it just feels like putting so much trust in strangers to not do anything weird or gross. Also, there was a couple eating breakfast with the jelly jar at their table so nobody else could use it.

Really quiet, clean, friendly service at this tucked away hotel. The pool, hot tub and steam room are a bonus! Continental breakfast is basic, but gets the job done…eggs, potatoes, bananas, oranges, yogurt, muffins, Danish, O.J., coffee, waffles and so on. There is a small laundry area too! This hotel located in Calistoga sets you on the far north side of the Napa Valley about 40 minutes from the town of Napa itself. The Castello Di Amerosa is just 10 minutes away…beautiful winery! There are small restaurants, cafes and brewery’s in town. St Helena isn’t far, and also has good restaurants. We enjoyed Brasswood Kitchen one night. Found a grocery and small pharmacy too. Great place to stay, more affordable if you want to save a few bucks a night.

We came to Calistoga to celebrate our daughter attaining her PhD. We had intended to arrive in the late afternoon, but didn’t get on the road from Santa Clara until 8pm. We were beat and a bit discouraged when we arrived at 10:30pm. Then we met Sandra the wonderful lady at the desk. She welcomed us so warmly and so sweetly, we forgot our troubles. When we explained we hadn’t had time to get dinner, she offered us some snacks from the breakfast supply. She had great recommendations for restaurants. Sandra made our evening.

The property is located about two blocks from the center of town, easily walkable to shops and restaurants. Calistoga has that wonderful small town feel, which makes strolling very pleasant.

Our room was on the second floor, which is accessible by stairs or elevator. The room is large and well appointed, with a king sized bed and a sofa sleeper that actually sleeps pretty well. The bathroom is wonderful with a large walk-in shower, and a beautiful sink area with lots of room to stow your toiletries. The room has two (!) luggage racks which is wonderful — I always wondered what hotel managers think the second guest in the room is going to do with their luggage. There is a gas fireplace, but since it is summer, we did not try it. The room is spotless and the maids do a great job servicing the room each day.

The WiFi is incredibly fast for a hotel system. The desk is nice, but it does not have any USB outlets for charging devices and only one plug-in. There is a regular outlet in the wall next to the desk. The iHome clock radio has the plug-in for older iPhones, not the lightening plug-in. It does have a USB outlet in it.

Breakfast is actually a pleasant meal. They have real plates and silverware instead of plastic silverware and paper plates. The eggs are made on sight, so they taste like scrambled eggs. The breads are fresh. The cook comes to visit the tables to make sure everything is good.

The pool and hot tub are very nice. The pool deck is large with several tables and chairs, as well as outdoor couches. The hot tub and pool have good stairs with hand rails. There are also a sauna and a steam room, as well as a bathroom which has a shower for washing the chlorine off.

In sum, this is a great property. The staff is very friendly and helpful....

BEWARE!!! If you are checking in late....Do not call the hotel! The hotel message says " the reception is closed and will reopen at 7am." The customer service folks will tell you the same thing and will offer to rebook you in a BW in Santa Rosa (a bit far from Calistoga). Apparently there is a phone box at the hotel for late check ins.

Due to delayed flights we were late getting to Calistoga. I was going to cancel but it was past the cancellation date. When I called in the morning they said they could try and sell the room but I would be charged if they didn't, so I decided to just arrive late.

I've stayed here before and it's really nice and super clean. The hotel property and staff are great! The hotel should add the information about after hours check-in to the hotel message AND BW customer service should have a note about this also.

Best Western had 3 opportunities to inform me: When I first called the hotel in the morning. On the hotel message you reach when calling after hours. The customer service agent should have know this instead of trying to book me in Santa Rosa (a bit far from Calistoga).

And according to BW guest relations " it's on the website where you book." I'm sure it is, but driving to Calistoga at midnight it's very dark and going on the website was not an option, calling hands free to keep my eyes on the road seemed the better option...

Let's hope BW adds information about after hours check in to their hotel message and BW customer service gets some notes on this process so they DON'T MISLEAD the...

We checked in at 4:30 pm after a long day of driving. Check in was quick and easy and the desk clerk was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Our room was on the second floor (thankfully they do have an elevator) overlooking the pool. The room had a king bed with night stands, TV, fireplace, desk with chair, dresser, small couch with coffee table, one upholstered chair, a nice size closet, two luggage racks, sink, microwave, small fridge and coffeemaker. They really need a floor lamp near the chair for a reading area. The bathroom was roomy with dual sinks and adequate counter space, a combo tub and shower and a nice quiet evacuation fan. It's well situated in Calistoga, within walking distance from the downtown area. The pool is very nice and has an adjacent hot spa. They also feature a fitness center with four machines and free weights. Their complimentary breakfast is very good and the lady in charge features a different main dish each day. Depending on the room, you do get some traffic noise from Lincoln Avenue but nothing that...
