A group of friends and I were at a winery a few minutes down the road and saw Picobar on the map. We decided to give it a try for a late lunch.
We pulled up and found that it was part of a very nice hotel/resort. Parking was just fine.
It was 3pm and we were seated right away with no reservation.
Prices were inflated, since it was attached to the hotel. Our server was friendly and the food came out quickly. We split the chips and salsa, and three of us had the quesabirria tacos and one of us had the Al pastor. There were 2 tacos per order.
The chips and salsa came with three different types- the green salsa was my favorite. So refreshing. We asked for extra chips and there was no charge.
The tacos came out quickly and they were hot!! Definitely fresh. The quesabirria tacos were crunchy and the meat/cheese ratio was perfect. The consommé was pretty good too. I had a bite of the al pastor and they were also so good, the pineapple was very fresh as well. No notes!
With the food being so good, we ordered churros to split for dessert. They also came out fresh and the chocolate sauce was balanced - not too rich. Definitely get if you like churros.
Overall, the price is what you’d expect for a hotel restaurant. We skipped on drinks for that reason- but the food was good quality and the restaurant had a nice ambiance. Would recommend if you’re...

Prior to visiting Pico Bar, I already heard so many good things. After about a year of hearing about the place I finally had the opportunity to try it out during a spa day
Pico Bar is conveniently located by the pool and is open to the public. There is plenty of seating from the bar, seated tables and the fire pit.
The bartender was so helpful and was able to give us recommendations on his favorite items on the menu including the drinks.
Food came out quickly and I know this might seem basic but I really enjoyed the elote. The Quesa-Birra tacos were also a crowd pleaser. The hospitality was amazing from the team and just as good as the food. Truly can't go wrong with what you choose on the menu. The calamar for me seemed a bit overdone but was still a good experience. I think some of the items are a bit overpriced but the quality of the food makes it...
Read moreMade a reservation here for lunch while visiting Calistoga. We didn’t stay at this property but it was great to check out! Located at the Solage resort by the pool, you can’t sit by the pool (only for resort guests). We started with a round of tequila shots and ordered some drinks, I think I got the green flash. We got items to share for a party of 5. Elote, hearts of romaine salad, ceviches, squid/calamari. So fresh and so good. We did a. Variety of tacos— quesabirria, crispy avocado, and fish tacos. We devoured our meal it was so fresh and delicious! For dessert we got the churros and chocolate, flan, tres leches French toast, and Mangonada. Really good, service was good. Our server was super kind and friendly. It’s also such a relaxing and beautiful area while enjoying lunch by the pool on a nice and hot day. There’s hotel parking and not too far from the Calistoga...
