Not the place for an Ace Hardware and certainly not within Calistoga, California for a couple of reasons. The outside of the store appears to be constructed sometime during the 1970's whereas newer Ace Hardware stores appear contemporary and with proper product placement strategies. Competing stores provide similar elsewhere. Look at the picture, there is an initial entrance way before entering the storehouse. An entrance-way with garden supplies before the storehouse is not the appropriate walkway for their patrons and appears to be a safety hazard. The interior of this Ace Hardware reminded me of a typical 1980's fly fishing and tack sporting good supply store layout one would expect near Burney, CA. However, this place includes hardware and paint goods. The odd wood signs hanging from the rafters which were frontside and with block-style font seems to be a prop and creates a phoney like store appearance before entering. Ace hardware in Calistoga has an amazing selection of garden items! I looked in SR for small pots to do a holiday craft project with my students and couldn't find enough.
