MakerOne Custom — Local services in Camas

I went in right after the store opened at 10a.m. in mid-July and unfortunately the gals had just left to go up to the high school for something (totally fine. We all know Summer can be a crazy time of year!) The following week, I sent over an email to book a time that worked with our schedules for me to come in and have a chat about what I was looking to have printed for my business. It took almost a week to get an initial reply, and communication was spotty during that correspondence as well, but I was finally able to set up a time to come in. Initially, I did not want to order 700-800 dollars in product without samples or a smaller batch size to see if the labels would work on my packaging. Because I wanted a smaller MOQ to start, I felt completely snubbed. I was unable to gather any information on even ballpark MOQs and pricing on any labels by any of their printers/manufacturers. I was told over a month ago now that they would "be in touch shortly" and I have already ordered, printed, and received labels from an online manufacturer. As a fellow brick and mortar business owner in our small Camas Washougal community, I must say I was pretty disappointed and don't feel I was taken seriously at all. I also was intending on having business apparel embroidered and would have loved to have been able to say "Designed, made, and manufactured in Camas, WA!" but with the way everything has been handled, in now way would I feel comfortable having MakerOne handle my needs -personal or business- which is honestly really unfortunate. But Amy Fogle convinced us to give them a shot, and we're glad we did. As a designer myself, I'm pretty picky, but their team nailed it. Amy was on top of everything, keeping us in the loop and making the whole process smooth.
