I’ve been a member for 3-4 years now and really like this gym. It is clean and facilities and locker rooms have an upscale feel with mid range prices, and it is rarely crowded even during prime times. You should definitely check it out if you are looking for a “nicer” gym while not completely breaking the bank— a huge step up from BSC or Planet Fitness while not quite as cushy as HealthWorks, for example. Viewing and bookings classes is easy with an app, and you can even freeze your membership if you take a vacation or extended time away. I will say that the primary Central Sq location has no windows since it is below ground. Regardless, it seems to somehow not have a stuffy feel. One recommendation would be to open a half an hour earlier at least to be on par with other gyms. I would love to work out in the mornings, but with a 6am opening time I would be cutting it close. A few other recommendations: don’t charge a $20 fee to “try” your gym— a one time free guest pass would encourage others to try it out and give off more of a welcoming vibe. Read moreVIM Fitness offers a relatively great price for gym membership at Central Square. However, their personal training management is not attractive to someone who wants to start a package. Although they offer a FIT Assessment, scheduling with a personal trainer is antiquated as it requires texting and unfortunately you fall trap to 'someone has that spot already' rather than a mobile weekly system where you can easily set this. I started a 6 pack that went smooth on the first week, but quickly ended up being a scheduling nuisance as then my trainer was on vacation for the subsequent week across 2 out of 3 days scheduled. From then on, it just went downhill on getting a morning time that wasn't taken and would allow me to get to work on time. Furthermore, although they claim it's 1 hour, I consistently got 45 minutes of personal training instead. Read moreVery disappointed with their customer service. I joined the club February 1st and unfortunately I got transferred to a new job in another state on February 28. I ask for a refund and was told it was not possible. Then was told by GM that he needed to speak to owners and see if it was possible to charge one month of service and refund the remaining amount. That I though was reasonable compromise. Got the call that owners would not refund anything. Imagine charging full amount and not refunding anything. Where is the customer service or integrity for a fitness center. Advice don’t do yearly plan with this place. And I was a member of this gym. Why would I write this...
