KAY Jewelers — Local services in Camden

Doubt that I would patronize this place. The signage around the outside virtually screams of a high level of control-freakism. First off, there is the "No Concealable Weapons" sign on the front door, which tells criminals worth their salt that they are unlikely to encounter armed resistance if they pick this place, or someone entering or exiting it, to commit a robbery or other crime. The only people this sign will deter are citizens who have passed an extensive background check and are certified "good guys", and retired or out of state police officers. Those people will likely comply with the sign even though they are not at all likely to be a problem. Criminals, being criminals, and intending to rob the store or customer, or cause other unlawful harm, will not be deterred by this silliness. If I were inclined to purchase an expensive item here, I might possibly be carrying a large amount of cash. If I were, their forcing me to disarm to enter and exit their establishment would make me an easy target for any criminal who might be watching this business for profitable "marks". I see no armed security provided for the protection of customers so the liability they create for themselves with this signage is comical in an offbeat way.

Next, are the numerous signs outside denoting multiple spaces as being for Kay customers only. Funny, neither the Firehouse nor the Starbucks in the same building feel inclined to mark off spaces as their own, especially so many.

Stacy was a pleasure to work with at the Kay Jewelers in Camden, SC. For starters, when I called in to initially inquire about a specific ring she got straight to business with getting in contact with nearby stores in search of having the ring I wanted shipped to the Camden location; she provided me with updates on the ring and notified me promptly when the ring arrived at the Camden location. She allowed me to try on a ring similar to what I wanted to gauge my satisfaction with how I would like the sizing of the ring on my finger. The ring even made it a day before my fiancé left for the week which was a concern of mines. I love my selection so much that I haven’t stopped looking at it. I went to Kay Jewelers today to get my engagement ring cleaned. I told them my ring wasn’t purchased at a Kay’s and they said that was fine then made my ring so shiny and sparkly! As the woman was cleaning it I was telling her I’m getting married in 2 weeks and that it was the first time my ring was getting professionally cleaned.
