Barely acknowledged while trying to pay, too busy chatting to hear me speak although there was only the man in front of me-, and when I patiently pay and wait to ask my question- Do they carry the larger version of Ole Smokey I purchased - I'm given a rude response from both ladies. Both looked annoyed I asked and told me they had never seen that and that they don't carry gallons. Even asking me where I had seen it. She should have said "gallons of Ole smokey" because I had been shopping, they have gallons of whiskey. It was not friendly, although I was not unhappy until the end. I was friendly and just wanted to get my answer for my next purchase. Won't be one. Id rather wait in 5 o'clock traffic and drive out of my way into Lugoff. Might be cheap and easy but it's not even worth it for the service. Let me update- both were engaged with the same man who had already checked out. Both purposely ignored me to finish their conversation and continued their conversation THROUGH the process of checking me out, so much so that they refused to acknowledge me verbally, or even physically through eye contact. Then when I "Excuse me..." - forcing me to interrupt because they won't acknowledge me-I an given eye rolls and rude questions? Cheap and easy was not a compliment.... but an apt description. It's the McDonald's of liquor stores, and it's not the liquor. You can tell the review response was written by the women at the checkout defending their right to treat me so rudely. Flirting with the man in front of me was obviously worth more than my business. I'm a regular EVERYWHERE I go, loved and appreciated for my good attitude and friendly nature. Not everything has to be classy, and this place is proud to be anything but. Planning a party this weekend. Money talks, and mine walked. If you want the same liquors for the same prices (or better) with amazing customer service with a smile... cross the bridge to Lugoff or hit up Traders in Camden. People who treat people like they want to be treated, with integrity and decency. Shopping here will just leave you feel like your money was wasted.... even if you get what you want. Only way to improve this place is self checkout.

Edited: Since it won’t let me respond to the owners reply, I’ll edit it here
.

  1. We hadn’t asked the ladies about the Eagle Rare until AFTER the gentleman made the comment, and he definitely didn’t say anything about a veterans event because had he did, I would’ve applauded him since I am myself a 100% Medically Retired Combat Vet.

  2. There was no display on the counter and definitely no Weller as we definitely would’ve saw it and got it.

  3. We come in often and get more than just allocated stuff. Your place was actually recommended by one of the guys I was with because of the decent prices, and I bought a case of George Remus last time I was there, and come back often for it along with the Rosa Regale sparkling red wine my wife likes.

Again, there’s a way to do business and treat customers, whether they’re a regular or someone that comes in every now and then. That wasn’t it.

Good day.

I try not to write negative reviews when I have a bad experience, because I know people have bad days, but this one I had to write. Stopped in today to grab a few bottles of bourbon. Saw a gentleman with a 1.75ml of Eagle Rare. When I said something to my buddy the owner overheard it and said “I don’t give a damn what they want. They’re not getting it.” Went to the counter and asked about it, and the ladies said they didn’t sell any today and when I said I saw a gentleman with one, one of the ladies said “oh yeah I sold one but that was the last one.” It’s funny every time we come in and see something allocated it just so happens to be the “last one.” It’s a way to do business and be respectful and that’s not it. We...

Went there a few days ago and the ladies were super nice. They have a huge selection. Usually my husband does all the alcoholic purchases but that day he made me go in and I’m glad. They were so patient with me because I really wasn’t sure what to get. All I had was a picture of a drink we wanted to try and ironically she had the same pic in her phone. Lol. I will definitely be back. Also I love the fact that they have the small sample sizes for...
