Chico’s Review of Firehouse Subs in Camden, S.C.: Captain’s Club Sandwich During a recent visit to Firehouse Subs in Camden, S.C., I decided to try the new Captain’s Club sandwich, and it certainly delivered on flavor. The sandwich impressed me right from the first bite, with rich, smoky flavors paired perfectly with fresh ingredients, making it a standout item on the menu. One of the key highlights of the sandwich was Captain Sorensen’s Hot Sauce. The zesty kick it added brought out the best in the sandwich’s flavors without overpowering them. The sauce, combined with crisp vegetables and hearty, well-cooked meats, made each bite a delight. The white bread was another plus—it was soft, fresh, and held all the ingredients together without getting soggy. The sandwich was presented well, and the portion size was generous—definitely worth the price. I also opted for the Captain’s Combo, which included kettle-cooked sea salt and vinegar chips and a drink, rounding out the meal nicely. However, I did notice that the cleanliness of the restaurant could use improvement. Despite the good customer service and prompt delivery of food, almost every table in the dining area was dirty. A bit more attention to maintaining clean tables would have made the dining experience more enjoyable. If you’re a fan of well-crafted sandwiches with a bit of heat, the Captain’s Club is definitely worth a try. It’s a fantastic addition to the Firehouse Subs menu, and I’m looking forward to coming back for more. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is the hook and lader sandwich I got which I asked for lettuce on it. Unfortunately I guess they don't know how to make a sandwich. New people all the time and it just gets worse. The manager is a teenager. Where is the owner ? Shame on them since the money goes to fire fighters. But they can't make a decent sandwich. It's doesn't take a rocket scientist to make a sandwich. I guess the owner doesn't care.

The workers give very dirty looks. Disrespectful and very judgy. A manager named Vet talks to the new workers rudely. She tells the workers but she does not show. Very few workers were really Polite( in which I will not name). I hate coming here to order food. Most of my friends work here and every single time I come in I always get dirty looks by the managers, and some other workers. I can’t help that I want a sub. If I see someone I know working there I’m going to say hey. Even when I go in just to say hey I order stuff so it’s not disrespectful and so I don’t distract the workers from job. Even though I get rude looks all the time as well as my mother, and my sister we always smile and tell everyone to have a good day, but still rude, and judgy managers. I will never buy from y’all again. I hate it there. I’ve also heard from several of the employees, not one but several of them that they are treated...

Managers are very disrespectful. I came in around 6:30 today. The judge, rude, and disrespectful stares are unacceptable. I just want to have a good day by getting a sub and saying hey to a worker I knew. I always have a smile on my face but this time I gave back the dirty looks. It happens every single time I go in there. The food is good, in which the managers don’t help with, but anyways. Don’t come here if you want to have a good day, or else it will be ruined my disrespectful managers and certain workers. Some workers were actually nice and gave a smile to me. Will not be coming here with a smile ever again. I don’t know this worker personally but his first name was Joseph… I think. He was very sweet and he gave good smiles, to me as I ordered. He was one of a few workers that actually made me feel welcomed there. Horrible service. I felt everyone’s eyes burning...
