Springdale Plaza — Local services in Camden

I have always enjoyed frequenting this Goodwill, but, today, I was annoyed.

I wanted to purchase napkins. They were 50 cents each. Two brightly colored napkins frim pier I caught the cashier' eyes. She declared that they must be "wash cloths" because they were large. Napkins come in many different sizes. I asked the cost of them. She said they were a $1. Unfortunately, I could not find a sign that gave the prices, of napkins. I can't imagine size making a difference. I truly believe she wanted them for herself. I told her that wash clothes are made from terry cloth. She didn't hear a word I said. I left the store. I told her that for a $1, she could keep them.

I ended up returning to the store because it was not going to be on my mind. I walked in and the napkins were still beside the register. I asked to speak with a manager. In the meantime, I went and picked up a place mat, table runner, a wash cloth, and additional napkins. I wanted to show her the difference between napkins and wash cloths.

When the manager arrived, she looked at the napkins and said to give them to me for 50 cents. I said, "I don't want them. I was trying to prove my point. "

I am perturbed that a simple trip to pick up cloth napkins, turned into such a big deal because of what "she"...

It would be nice if humans respected parking lots they seem to think it is an oversize waste container. With Belk leaving time we tell what can and will move in. If there were enough hip stores in the Plaza it would at least get cleaned and lined, but at the rate America is going it looks like we will be seeing this more and more. But I do pray Camden, & Lugoff do get a lot more new businesses we truly need a great steak house in that plaza or large retail store, that can help our community...

Lots of good places to shop here, like Goodwill, Belk, Bealls, Dollar Tree, and Great Clips, where I get my hair cut, and a UPS Store...and more. But what I want to mention today is Folline Vision Center, tucked away in the corner, which I only noticed recently, after years of not even noticing it. They've been there for many years, have a full-time Optometrist, very good, and a sizable selection of eyewear. I highly recommend them, and to continue to use for my annual...
