Sweet Joy Ice Cream Bar — Restaurant in Canton

We stopped by for an ice cream after eating at Universal Joint Saturday night. The Lawrenceville Square was crowded when we got there for dinner and we found out later they had a BBQ festival earlier. By the time we finished dinner and walked around it was getting close to 9:30 PM and my daughter Googled "ice cream shops in downtown Lawrenceville" and this place came up. They didn't close until 10 so we made our way there. The ice cream was amazing, I ordered a scoop of Butter Me (I think that was the name) and a scoop of the Irish flavor. So good!! The staff were super friendly and gave us samples of several flavors. They didn't lock the door at 10 o'clock and suddenly about 6 people came in. Some places would of told them they were closed, but not here. They greeted them and served them all with no complaints, no mention of closing time and no rush. Nice to find a place like...

Just had the most pleasant experience at this ice cream shop! The owner and her daughter were there serving ice cream and allowed my husband and I to try pretty much every flavor before we decided what we wanted. We ended up getting 2 waffle cones - one with cinnamon toast and the other with Oreo - but all of the flavors were delicious. All of the ice cream is made fresh daily in house. They also offer “adult” ice cream flavors blended with different liquors, so be prepared to present your ID if you want to taste or purchase any or those flavors.

We don’t make it to Lawrenceville often, but we’ll be sure to swing by here whenever we do so we can support this great, locally-owned business. Hopefully their delicious ice cream and exceptional customer service will keep them in business for...

Visited yesterday for the 1st time, I chose the Butter Pecan and the Oreo(cookies & cream) I purchased the quart size which is a nice size to share for 2 people and OMG that this ice cream was soooo fresh and creamy, very delicious. I'm so glad I gave them a try, I will definitely be back again soon. I have now found my new ice cream shop..absolutely no need for me to EVER go back to Brusters or Coldstone which they have NOTHING on this mom & pop shop which tends to use better quality ingredients anyway. Last but not least the young lady that served me was very nice and knowledgeable about all of their product being sold in house which is most definitely a great thing.
