Have been to Rock N Roll Sushi many times since their soft opening and up until now have found the staff to be friendly and food good. However this past Saturday we visited for a birthday celebration dinner and my opinion has changed dramatically. My family visited the restaraurant with my sister-in-law and her 4 year old daughter. She has visited other RNR sushi locations and knew her daughter would not eat the chicken tenders (or anything else on the menu). So before visiting we stopped and picked up food at a fast food restaurant that we knew she would eat. Upon being seated we were told by our server that the manager did not like outside food being brought in and that she used to have a sign on the door (that was not there when we visited that stated this) and if we saw a "girl in a pony tail" to try and hide it. We explained that she was a picky eater but we wanted to celebrate with sushi. He said he personally didn't care but that she did. We ordered our drinks and less then 10 seconds later a female employee who did not identify herself but did have a ponytail and seemed to suggest she was the manager made it very clear that either we leave or throw the food out and order chicken tenders from the menu. She seemed to imply that this was a health code violation; which seems strange since most restaurants we've visited don't seem to have this same health code requirement. We used to have the same issue with our son and never were forced with this ultimatum at any restaurant. So we left and went to another restaurant that again did not have this health code requirement.
I understand wanting to try to maximize profit but to basically kick out customers based on this seems a little outside the norm. It's a shame since we really used to enjoy the environment and the wait staff has always been very friendly;...
Read moreAtmosphere was good, service was good, however reason for 2 stars is that the price for hibachi is the same price as I would spend at kani house and at least there you get soup and salad not one or the other amd good is better tasting at kani house hibachi. However, food taste wise was still good EXCEPT for the fact that I ordered vegetables and steak and shrimp... none of which should have chipped my molar! I was super upset about this as I bit into my meal and thought that something was hard and crunchy for a split second checked my food and amd whatever it was was so small in peices was hard to make out so thoight nothing of it. But I said to my husband it felt like I cracked a tooth because of it... being that I work in the dental field and take pristine care of my oral hygiene I was like probably didn't happen. However, I gwt home back molar hurting and look at it amd what do you know I cracked my tooth on food here that will now cost me alot of money to fix my tooth amd paid for dinner. I'm super upset and cautious to those who go here! Please be more. Careful cooking your food. This should not have happened. I will not be back... which is a shame because this was a nice restaurant atmosphere wise. And...
Read moreI have lots of allergies and I have been sick since 2006 with a neurological disorder. I have had only avocado rolls for many years and this place is by far the worst. I placed an order over the phone with MARK. I cannot walk or drive because of my illness. I told mark that I would like to place AN/A order for 8 pieces of the worst avocado rolls I have ever tried. This man gave my husband 4 orders of 16 rolls, including some that were wrapped with only rice in them. He lied that I ordered 8x8 avocado rolls. My husband didn’t question the order for over $50 they charged him because he thought that I had ordered other foods. Mark thought I wanted money back. FYI MARK I never take money back for any thing I ordered. My son recently graduated from UGA with a degree in Science & Biology. He took a GAP year to study the MCAT for Medical School. He is currently working and volunteering. Mark, he is making way more money than you right now. You are so unprofessional and rude. Btw, my son is 23 years old.. also MARK I was born and raised in Jamaica. My dad was head chef at a big hotel there. Thanks to him I know good foods when...
