Area 51 PC — Local services in Cape Coral

I personally had an awful experience. I brought my pc in for a hardware and software diagnosis. it cost me $190, and after about a week they emailed asking for my phone number because the older gentleman at the front did not write it down correctly. They informed me that the diagnostics came back clean, and they found nothing wrong, so the the pc was given back. Once I got home, the crashing issue continued immediately. I brought it back, and had it re-tested under warranty. This time it took 2 weeks, they called saying "corrupt files and a faulty windows was installed, you'll need a new ssd." I was skeptical because why not just delete all partitions on the existing ssd and preform clean install of windows? But at this point I just wanted my pc back so I agreed and paid $70 for a new ssd. Brought it home for the 2nd time now, and the problem continued right away again. This shop basically stole $260 and 3 weeks of my time. They also lost my DP and power supply cord. It is wonderful to find local businesses that exceed my expectations, and these guys were outstanding in every way.

My computer failed to boot and there was a lot of important data that I needed to have (tax returns, quickbooks company files, legal documents, etc.). At first I took the PC to Staples and used their EasyTech services. After nearly one month, they had made absolutely no progress. Because the Staples staff seemed so unknowledgeable, I decided to try another computer repair service.

Boy am I glad I gave Area 51 a try. I could instantly tell they really knew their stuff. They had the PC working like new in less than 24 hours. What a difference their expertise made. I can't even calculate how much time and money they saved me by not having to re-do my taxes, quickbooks entries, etc.

First time service was a couple of weeks & the battery was bad I just paid for. I called in and advised the battery they installed was bad. The male argued with me I evidently was lying to him I had him pull up my phone number he then humbled himself because I was right. This time I bring back In to replace the defective battery it’s been over a month they don’t call & update, they don’t answer the phone, answering machine is full so I have to drive all the way back to ft Myers to check on my computer poor service, poor customer service I work from home took vacation while they ordered my part I’ve been out of work a month or more now I’m a home based travel agent. I need my computer. I will never bring it back there & would advise people to stay clear of this company. The people in the lobby said the company had their computer 3 months.
