We shopped at the Fort Myers store. While the store does have some nice furnishings, it recently has what appeared to be a change in the quality of furniture. The store has an unpleasant atmosphere. The sales people congregate near the front entrance making you feel like you’re walking into a car dealership. Our visit was to purchase accessories and accents to complement the other furniture we had purchased from another retailer. We opted to pick up our purchases from the Fort Myers warehouse location. This is where our choice to never shop with the store again Started upon arriving at the warehouse. There are two women that sit behind a glass that are there to greet you and receive your order forms. These women had no interest in acknowledging us nor did they really want to. It was as if it was a bother. Acknowledgement was not presents and after a few minutes the one lady strod up walked over to the window and asked for an ID and our order form point-blank again it was as if it was almost bothering them . The gentleman from the warehouse deck actually came in and mentioned to the women we were standing there we were standing and waiting. The one woman turned around and snarkly stated to him I’m working on a $50,000 order. I don’t have time for that. It was disappointing that such attitude still exist and made us feel bad our order was merly $1,800. I would say that the environment is probably not the best. I will never buy furniture from another store again. I purchased multiple pieces of furniture from this store for my new home 6 months ago. Three of the couches are a performance fabric and within this 6 months I have noticed "Piling" of the fabric and the back cushions on one couch started to droop. I made a call to customer service and they sent Gary out to take a look. He shaved down the piling and explained that it will need to be done again since they are performance fabrics but that once it is done a few times the fabric will look amazing for years. He also ordered filling for my cushions and will be coming back out to shave the piling again for me and fill the cushions so they don't droop. He was kind, timely, and efficient. Also, I failed to buy the warranty simply because I forgot. I was going to call and have it added before delivery but instead I had my baby come early. So, this was the customer service WITHOUT a warranty! I have been buying furniture for years with warranty from other companies that didn't even provide these services. Instead they told me it was a manufacture error and they wouldn't cover it or (my personal fav) that the warranty only covered a sharpie stain OR damage due to a pet but not when a pet eats a sharpie on the couch. I will never shop elsewhere again! I'm so pleased with this store I recommend it to everyone and now, I will have even more confidence in doing so! Thank you...

We had an excellent experience today at Matter Furniture. Our original intention was to begin our search for a sofa. Since we enjoy the presentation on the Matter showroom floor, we “started” there. We were fortunate to be greeted by Michael, who turned our preliminary search day into the order day! Michael goes above and beyond in every element of the sales process. There was no pressure, but he was exceedingly attentive where needed. He was very informative at every step. If he was unsure about a detail, he would immediately check on it. He was so patient with our many questions, especially since I worked in the “the business “ years ago and knew the important questions to ask regarding the structure and quality of the pieces, as well as the recommended fabric quality for 2 matching chairs, which were added on well into our discussions. We did go to other furniture places in the middle of the day as well, which brought us back to Michael at Matter’s. We knew that our order would be in the best of hands with Michael.
