A number of issues, first, the large chest to my bedroom set was delivered with a large gap between the top drawer and the top of the dresser, all of the drawers are misaligned and don't stay closed, I'm looking at the dresser with 2 drawers open.... I called 5 minutes after the delivery men left to inform them and instead of just replacing it, they made an appt for someone to come look at it and 'fix' it. I am not happy. Especially with COVID, I am high risk and don't want anyone in my home for an extended period of time, not to mention it came this way. They should have replaced it.... BTW, I got it almost two months ago and they still haven't even looked at it. Secondly, the delivery charges are outrageous. They charge MORE money for delivery the MORE money you spend. You would think they would charge less or even nothing when you've spent 10k in their store. Lastly, I purchased a sofa and asked when it would he delivered before I bought it as it was very important to me. Was supposed to be here now, 6 weeks out, but now told there is a delay. Zero ETA given except 'maybe Feb 8th', almost 2 MORE MONTHS! No apology, just told, 'not our fault, its the manufacturer'. Outrageous... I see plenty of other reviews with the same delivery issues so if you must have your furniture by a specific date, think twice. Had I been told upfront delivery dates you are given when you hand your money over are basically a guess, I would have gone elsewhere. Extremely unprofessional behavior, I've never had issues like this with other stores and this appears to be standard practice with Haverty's. UPDATE... I see a response from Haverty's to every single review that gave them good reviews but ZERO response to those who have issues. That alone should tell you everything you need to know regarding...
Read moreWe visited your store 4 times. The hutch we looked at was on sale for $1799 with an additional $100 off making the price $1699. At the time we dealt with Stacy Grant. We told her we needed to measure and make sure that the hutch would fit where we needed it to fit. At no time did she ask for my name, phone # or email address. Mind you we visited your store 4 times. Today, Tuesday, Feb 1st, we came to the store to order the hutch we liked. When we went back where the hutch was located, the price tag now read $1999. We asked Stacy if she could speak to her Manager about giving us the $1699 price. She left and came back a short time later and said we couldn't get the sale price because the MFGR raised the price, so no deal. She also said that because she didn't have my email or phone # there was nothing she could do. SHE NEVER ASKED US FOR ANY OF THAT INFO. Like how was I to know that was needed????? Well, we left her presence and I decided to talk to the Manager directly. I explained our dilemma, and got a Totally different story. Not only did she give us the $1699 price but she also got our delivery set up for Monday, Feb 7th! Stacy told us if we ordered it, it would take 20 weeks to get! KUDOS TO THE MANAGER.111 Being the customer, I WOULD LIKE THE MANAGER TO GET THE CREDIT FOR OUR PURCHASE INSTEAD OF STACY GRANT! SHE DOES NOT DESERVE IT.!
IF NOT FOR THE WONDERFUL WAY WE WERE TREATED BY THE MANAGER, AND SHE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP US, WE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HAVERTY'S! WITH THIS IN MIND, I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HAVERTY'S TO OTHERS. THANK...
Read moreOur experience at the Havertys in Fort Myers was extremely disappointing. We were helped by a salesman named Jim, who came across as condescending and uninterested from the very beginning. As young adults, we felt dismissed — like we didn’t know what we were talking about or weren’t worth his time. Jim didn’t take the time to explain the features of the sofa we were interested in or provide details about financing options. He simply threw out a rough monthly payment and wouldn’t even entertain a modest $200 discount. To top it off, he kept calling my husband “Christopher” instead of “Chris,” which felt unnecessarily formal and almost patronizing — like he was speaking to a child or trying to make a point. The entire interaction was so uncomfortable that we left without making a purchase. Fortunately, we then visited the Havertys in Naples, where a wonderful associate named Lori completely changed our perspective. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, respected, and informed. Lori took the time to walk us through everything in detail and truly cared about helping us find the right piece. Because of her, we left with a beautiful sectional and a great experience. I highly recommend the Naples location — and if you go, ask for Lori. She’ll take excellent care of you. The difference between the two locations was like...
