Lennys Grill & Subs — Restaurant in Florida

In my opinion (I'm from Chicago for what it's worth) this was the PERFECT steak sub!

I had the grilled bacon, fresh grilled steak, and Swiss cheese on an in-house baked white bread roll. The sandwich was just perfect in every way I imagined. The cheese was perfectly melted, sandwich made the right way, bacon on bottom, steak with Swiss cheese throughout!

Washed it down with a half of their freshly made (I know I keep saying that but sorry, this place serves FRESH foods and drinks!) strawberry lemonade and the other half was the brewed iced tea. GREAT combination!

The place is very clean, easy to find and get to. Located in what I would say is the mid Fort Myers are near Page Field. They also serve freshly baked peanut butter cookies that are also amazing and a great way to end your meal.

Highly recommend it for a quick bite. From order to pickup was maybe 5 minutes. Great service!!!

Service was great, atmosphere was nice but definitely disappointed in the sandwiches. My wife got the ham and bacon and the meat was supposed to be heated up. When you bit in it was half cold half warm. They do not toast the bread although the bread was fresh. My steak and cheese was ok. Flavor was good but disappointing when you bit in. As you can see in the pics it doesn’t match some seen in pics on the reviews. I could have moved the meat from the other side and made one good sandwich. Not sure if that was intentional and their way to make the sandwich. After seeing the pics posted of their steak and cheese I was looking forward to it. I was a Lenny's subs regular but I guess after today I won't be. Today, I called at 7:22 to get some subs for dinner and lunch tomorrow as they make the best phillys in the area. I called several times and no one picked up. I figured maybe they were busy so I decided to drive by and try and pick up but the doors were locked at 735. The staff saw me and all quickly went to the back and came out after 5 mins when they thought I left as they diligently cleaned up. As I was writing this review the staff was leaving at 750. They could have answer my call at 720 and had my food ready to go instead of slighting a customer.
