If I could give this place a 0 I would. This is a horrible establishment, with shady business practice. Me and my cousin had a discounted sign up coupon where my sign up fee would be $25, but they never told us that our payment would change on the 29th and we were charged $71 out of nowhere. When I signed up for Crunch, I signed a contract with them to pay $15 a month after the discounted sign up fee but we never got any updates that our payment would be changing. It was completely implied that we would be forever paying just 15 a month and this extra annual fee came out of nowhere and we should've never been charged this. I went in to cancel this membership due to the new fee and because of the fact that I found out me and my cousin were never supposed to have been signed up to begin with. We are minors, and in order to sign up we needed to have parental consent but we were never informed of this and instead one of the employees signed parental consent without us seeing and told us to "not worry about it". We then had gone into Crunch to cancel our membership, and they were extremely rude. When I tried to ask the General Manager (Anthony) he was extremely cold throughout the entire encounter and when I explained to him that we were mislead minors he asked me "Ok well what do you want me to do about it" the entire time we spoke to him it felt as though he was just trying to intimidate us. Extremely unprofessional of a General Manager to say when I just asking for help with these issues. I went in the next day with my mother, and asked another Manager what I should do and for help. His name was Mateo and he was 10x nicer and more helpful than the GENERAL manager Anthony and showed behavior more fitting of that title even as just a manager in training. He gave me a phone number to go work this out with higher ups, but when I called the phone number didn't work. Impossible to cancel your membership, and expect to still be paying this amount of money for months in advance since they won't allow you to cancel especially because our contract was for minimum 3 months. When I went to crunch there was not even one equipment station open so when I wanted to work out I couldn't. We never got our money back even though the contract was null because we are minors and the parental consent was signed by an employee without our knowledge....
Read moreReally tried to find a way to make this gym work for me because it's the closest gym to my house and I have a free membership with work but it's just not worth it. 1) As many people have mentioned, it's SO CROWDED. I've tried coming early in the morning, mid-day, evenings, weekends, but there's always waits for machines and you're shoulder-to-shoulder with folks. I'm used to "rush hours" at gyms, but I can't find a time where it's not overcrowded. 2) Because it's so busy, machines are dirty, sweaty, and not kept-up. For example, it's common that I've waited for a machine, finally got an open spot, but the weight level I needed were broken on that machine. Ugh. 3) Because it's so busy, classes are always going on and the music is LOUD. Being shoulder-to-shoulder with sweaty people, music so loud you can't use your own headphones, not having space to do a superset sucks. 4) The only space in the gym to foam roll, stretch, or do warmup sets is either directly in the pathway of people, or in the spaces where classes are going on. If that's a part of your workout, heads up. 5) However, the gym does a great job of integrating the community and making the gym a gathering spot for people, local businesses, etc., Kudos to them for that! I just wish they were able to design the gym for better flow of traffic - it feels like the minute I walk in I'm bumping into people, in competition for space and equipment, sidestepping conversations in the middle of walkways, afraid of being in someones' way while trying to do my own thing. Overwhelming and stressful! Some ways it could be improved would be 1- taking time to improve/redesign the flow of foot traffic, walkways 2- Give space for people who want to foam roll stretch or do their own circuit without a weight machine, etc. 3- have partner businesses set their tables up NOT in the flow of traffic 4- have time limits for machines during rush hours with employees that can enforce gym etiquette perhaps? Unsure. 5 - It feels like the gym is trying to do everything and doing nothing well - either prioritize boutique classes and give space for that, or prioritize free weights and folks serious about their workout routines - right now everyone's trying to do their own thing and just having a mediocre experience all around, like an over-crowded, small-locker room version of planet...
Read moreThis gym is a total rip off. I was there for the grand opening , where they offer a month to month membership trail of $10 a month for three months . You can cancel after three months no question ask. Nope that was a lie. I also had a buy 4 session of personal trainer get four free. Nope that was a lie as well. This special was offer to any new sign ups before the new gym open up. When the gym open up , I was able to do three sessions. Then I notice in my bank account that they were continuing to charge for additional training sessions fees even though I prepaid for 8 of them . I spoke to Anthony and they put a freeze on the account and said it was canceled . He lie to my face . When you put a freeze on the account it stops the payment process from happening and adds time to your contract . I literally called everyday and went in there to speak with several different employees . I finally was able to speak with Maeto. He said, I had to cancel both my membership and my personal training sessions by December 31, 2021. Which I have the paperwork to prove it. I told him I have occurred 10 session of personal training time that were unused . They said, I can transfer to a friend or family member. That was a lie since my membership was canceled for the gym there was no way to use them . I am out $660. Let’s fast forward to November 2022. I looked at my bank statement. They charge my bank account $450 membership fee. I was furious. I cancel my account over a year ago. I call they stated that the computer generated old account information and billed old account that didn’t paid the yearly membership fee. Since I choose at the time to monthly fee of $10 a month. If they clearly stated when I was signing up that are going to charge you a $450 yearly membership in additional to the $10 month membership fee . I would have not sign up to begin with. They had no right to charge my account after I only use the gym for a total of 6 weeks and canceled my membership during the 90 day grace period. The below amount includes the my 10 personal trainer session value at $50 per session($550). They owe me $1,000.00 that was wrongfully taken out of my account . Beware!!!!!! They...
