I had the best Mother's Day present this year (2022) ever! My husband took me on Sunday to Office Depot on Pine Island Rd. in Cape Coral Floriada to buy hard to find refills for my Parker Roller Ball Pens, fine point black & print precious pixs off my phone in a contact sheet which I intend to insert into some of my photopaints for my upcoming children's book on the environment. I called ahead to find out when they opened and was shocked that mgr. picked up before the store was even open as I live 45 miles away on an island, so he even went to check the stock so I wouldn't waste a long drive & put the remainer 2 refills of my classic Parker Roller Ball Fine Pt. Pens now out of circulation, but have used for the past 11 years to write my illustrated 300 page children's book on the enviorment told as a fairy tale. I now must transpose it into a rewrite for an Audio Book performance in character voice & these refills were vital to continue.
Soon as I arrived I was greeted by a great store Co-Ordinator who gave me the two remaining refills then walked me over to the excellent woman at the Expert Tech Booth to make a special order of 20 more refills. She even found a way to send them directly to my home. This done she personally walked me over to the printing booth and introdued me to my future hero "LEO". I had been trying for over 2 years to find a way to download the photos off my Samsung phone as I had 60 photopainting illustrations comprised of hundreds of photographs of our endangered estuary from redtide & pollutiion. My book was an early guide to help young children understand what they would encounter in their future without frightening them or presenting any information that wasn't researched & approved by each environmental professional in major corporations to transposed real facts into a metaphor fairy tale story to keep a 4 year olds attention focused. Leo was amazing. Not only was he willing to take on this huge challenge on a Mother's day Sunday, but he was extremely kind and professional although he was the only one on duty on this Mother's Day Holiday. He explained my situation to his supervisor, another extremely intelligent and caring person, who gave him immediate permission to continue helping me & even checked on his unusal request to assist him when other customers arrived. Great teamwork which was appreciated more than words can say. All the photos in my phone were images of 4 year old children in high concentration on working with legos or exploring trees and the estuary waters within our public park. They were irreplaceable and Leo truly did a truly amazing job, researching my phone, all possible download devices he may have in stock to begin printing all my images (as a contact sheet) so I could review them on the excellent photopaper & select the ones to be added to the many realistic views of 3 years of photography in small boats to document our endangered precious estuary.
That was on Sunday. The prints were perfect and Leo deserved a medal as do the rest of the staff of Office Max Office Depot on Pine Island Rd. in Cape Coral Florida. I had explained I was doing this project as a donation only and had originally been scheduled to only read to the Hospice and Children's Hospital kids, giving them a free CD and a couple of illustrations to keep, but that was no longer realistic as Covid cancelled all visits to hospital floors from now on, as well as a CD was now outdated from new age 4 year olds who watch limitless cartoons and stories on their TVs. I was now inspired to rewrite by hand by entire project as an audio book, but stopped due to no ink. Well, that problem now solved by the wonderful staff of Office Depot/Office on Pine Island Rd. I was now able to continue my book now going into the 11th year due to exacting scientific research, 60 original photopaintings & 11 poems to to capture the attention of this new age brilliant generation of 4 yr. olds. Mother's Day was May 8th. Today is May 11th. A box just arrived with 20 refills. God bless your amazing staff and...
Read moreI absolutely loved Office Depot. But, the Office Depot in Cape Coral, off of Pine Island Rd. has a rude manager. He was rude to a customer in front of many customers. This was unwarranted, unnecessary, and uncalled for. Although, this manager holds great employees and itâs a great store, he has tainted the stores image. I have been a customer of Office Depot since 1996, and my membership number has nine digits. The copy machines require a 10 digit number for its use. It was not taking my membership number due to that requirement. The associate that was assisting me suggested for me to open a new membership. I felt that was not an option for that would forfeit on my reward points. The associate then logged in for me and allowed me to use the copy machine, and he did suggest that he would make the copies for me. But, I insisted on making the copies myself. The manager treating the customer as indicated above the way he did just made me feel very ill about going back to that store. The customer entered and was on the line waiting. The manager approached her and asked what type of business she would be conducting? She said that she would send an email to the associate to print up the job. The manager stated that it would have to be put in and picked up on a different day. The customer stated that she has never done that in the past. She has always waited for the material she needed printed. She stated that she has done this for five years. The store was not very busy. There was only one customer in front of her. The manager insisted that this was not going to be done at that moment. The customer stated that she was not going to do it that way. She would continue to do it the way she has done it for the past five years. The manager said it will not be happening in his store today. The manager was getting louder and ruder. The customer subsequently walked out leaving the store. This made me angry to see, that he did this to this woman! I should of put it on video for your review. He...
Read moreI went to Office Depot yesterday because my phone wouldnât charge and I asked the guy up front if maybe it was my charger and if we could try a new one. He was soooo nice he opened up a charger for me and let me try it out and when It didnât work he said âI think you might need a new battery take it to our tech center in the backâ
So Iâm looking for the tech center, walk right passed and asked an older guy if he could show me where it was. He pointed behind me like Iâm stupid and I say thanks. Walk over and stand there for 5 minutes before the same guy walks over and asks how he can help. First of all he saw me standing there the whole time looking lost because no one was acknowledging me he could have said âthe tech center is right behind you Iâm in the middle of something but Iâll be right with you I work the tech centerâ itâs all good though! So he walks over to me and asks what I need. I told him a need a price on a repair. He interrupted me and said $169. I said wait you donât even know What I need. âYour screen rightâ. Actually no, a battery. He pulls out he battery but says âwe have the battery, I canât sell it to you, I have to install it, looks around on his computer for 15 min and says âI donât THINK we can do itâ him saying I donât THINK we can do it and still looking at his computer tells me heâs still looking and but he doesnât THINK so right. So without saying another word, after 5 more minutes of looking at his screen without looking at me still standing there he grabs the battery, puts it away and starts talking to the lady behind me. Lol. I thought he was still doing research on the battery turns out he was just done talking to me. So without saying anything I just walk away. Anthony at Office Depot, you work at a very over priced store the least you could do is treat your customers who go in there to spend more money then they would at...
