They have a good selection of ready to wear jewelries but I would not recommend customizing here.

I had two stones for customization and the store suggested me leave the stones here and they would show me clay over stones for design visualization, also was told the clay would be ready in 1-2 weeks. Left stone with the store and called in after a week, and was told they didn’t receive pictures of designs that I like, so I resent. Waited another two more weeks and called in twice, they kept telling me clay will be ready soon, and got a certain answer on last call that clay will be ready last Sat. I went in today on Tuesday and they didn’t do any clay with either of the stone, instead showed me a design which I said in my first visit that I would want something different. So imagine leaving them stones for almost a month and come back to see nothing is done as they promised, during the waiting I didn’t get any call from the store but have to call in to keep checking.

By far the classiest jewelry shop I've ever been too. They have everything and anything your hearts desire! If they don't, they can make it for you! The jeweler's craftsmanship is top shelf.

I came in to get a retirement gift and I was able to fine this beautiful ring, an opal with a star burst patterned diamonds surrounding the stone. It was exactly what I was looking for. This shop is truly a one stop shop for any occasion.

Talk about friendly and family oriented! Bella was such a knowledgeable and kind person to have helped me out with this ring and Mark was so wonderful he remembered me from years ago! As well as the gracious staff who also possess a great deal of knowledge too and are just as friendly.

They also have a gorgeous shop in Carmel that offer watch repair and battery exchanges. So cool!

We LOVE Mark Areias Jewelers in both Aptos and Carmel! My husband and I both got our wedding rings here... 25 years ago! He had his custom made and it still looks amazing. I chose mine from their estate collection at the time. It was simple and beautiful and in our budget at the time but I always imagined building it up at some point.
