I have been visiting this coffee shop for years because I enjoy seeing the familiar faces of the local community, and the food is consistently fresh, hot, and delicious.
However, today my bagel was only lukewarm, the cinnamon bun I asked to be warmed was served cold, and my café Ibarra was merely warm as it sat on the counter without a name tag for collection. I had specifically requested my coffee in a mug, but it arrived in a paper cup instead. I approached the counter to confirm if it was mine and reiterated my request for a mug. The girl with short, curly hair seemed annoyed and rudely transferred my drink to a proper cup before walking away.
Such poor service… Dena and Tom have always prioritized excellent customer service, and they would be disappointed to learn that the quality has slipped since the new ownership took over a few months ago. The three girls at the counter seem more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to customers. That's a...
Read moreI've been a regular at this wonderful shop for nearly 20 years now. It's where I've always gone to get my beans. In the last 3 months I've come in twice to purchase coffee beans and have been completely ignored by the counter staff. The first time I waited nearly 10 minutes while several new groups came in and were served before me. I finally spoke up and was served, but the staff person was rude and dismissive. Today was the 2nd time. Came in again, and waited at the bean counter. Waited close to 10 minutes again, while a family of 4 and then a couple came in after me and got served first at the main counter. No acknowledgement by the staff that I was even there. No eye contact, no "hold on a moment". Nothing. I even waved my hand just before they were about to serve the family that came in after me, but they ignored me. I don't have time for this. Time to find a new...
Read moreI see why people are lined up outside the door. They make really good coffee, and more than just make a tasty cup of coffee. They actually roast the beans right there--the bags of beans are on the floor to the right as you enter, and their roasting machine is across from the beans.
It doesn't stop there. They have a case of sweet treats. I had a chocolate macaroon that was quite tasty. The staff is friendly. They have tables inside and out. The tables outside have umbrellas for shade. There is plenty of room to bring your friends. One more thing I really like is you can buy the coffee they roast.
I am enjoying a cup of dark roast Columbian coffee and a chocolate macaroon while soaking up the rays at Pacific Coffee Roasting Co. I love the beauty that the owner cultivates...
