Update: Falafel salad used to be $14, now itâs $18. Tzatziki used to be $8, now itâs $10. Feta Fries used to be $6, now itâs $8. Tiny Margarita pizza used to be $12, now itâs $15. Iâm going to be making my own falafel and salads/wraps/tzatziki. I appreciate the wake up call to make my own now. Wonât be returning, canât afford anymore. Used to be my favorite though. I just came back from Switzerland, which has higher prices than here in California and their Salads werenât this expensive. Rip off for sure. Good for the millionaires of Santa Cruz County.
Their falafel salads are my favorite. But their tzatziki and hummus are amazing, too. I go to this place at least 3 times a month(if not more) they are amazing. I read a review that said the hummus didnât have enough acid or something- thatâs not true. Order their hummus and it was absolutely amazing and worth every penny. I hope they donât change their recipe due to the negative comment because everyone loves it and there is bound to be one bad apple thinking something is off. Also, Zameens shrimp is amazing , their pizzas are amazing, their gyros are amazing, itâs hard to find something in their menu that isnât amazing to be honest. Iâve tried almost everything on the menu and itâs all delicious but everyone has their favorites of course! Their lamb burgers are also delicious. My top favorite...
Read moreI recently visited Zameen Mediterranean Cuisine in Aptos, having heard it might surpass the 41st Avenue location in terms of ingredient quality and their well-known rotisserie chicken. While the experience was enjoyable, I didnât notice any significant differences in flavor or quality between the two locations.
The rotisserie chicken, which I had high hopes for, tasted much the same as at the other location â still delicious and well-seasoned but not necessarily better. The portions, however, did seem smaller, which was a bit disappointing given the price point. If you're someone who loves larger servings, you might notice this as well.
That being said, the ambiance in the Aptos location was quite pleasant. It's a more mellow spot that feels cozy and laid-back, perfect for a relaxed meal. The seating is comfortable, and the atmosphere is great for a casual dining experience.
Customer service was also a highlight. The staff were friendly, attentive, and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring we had a good experience. It was easy to ask questions and get recommendations.
Overall, while the food was tasty and the service was excellent, the experience didnât quite live up to the hype in terms of being superior to the 41st...
Read moreMy wife and I went there today for an early dinner. Arrived at 5:00pm and there was only one couple seated. We were placed at a table immediately and we're given menus and waited for our server. Our server, Natalie, came by and gave us water and said she would return. After about 15 minutes of waiting (there was only one more couple who came in) I finally walked up to the counter, where Natalie was chatting it up with another employee. I asked her to please come by our table to get our orders. Our orders were taken, and when delivered, one was wrong. She came back only once to check on us. Our drinks were empty half way through dinner and we never saw her. Food was wonderful, but it's hard to get past that really...
