Always double check prices in the counter at time of pay. I go there for RED FRESNO CHILLI PEPPERS $4.99 per lb it says in the price sign where the peppers at. At the time of pay says $6.99 I told the lady cashier that I saw the price of $4.99 she went to check the price magically she grab from some of the price signs a one with a price of $6.99 she showed me. I went to point her where I got the fresnos and where the price at of $4.99. She called the “manager” to let him know the situation, in the mean time she starts arguing with me. “Manager” confirm price was $6.99 and that was set, no explanations or check the situation, he proceeded to leave the scene, I asked the lady cashier if this happens a lot because this is my third time that something like this happened in this store. First time 9/11/2024, second time 10/16/2024 and today’s 12/24/2024, the lady cashier got very update and start arguing more and more in a very aggressive mood, she ended walking out and “manager” appears saying you want it or not, OF COURE I WANT IT THATS WHY I CAME HERE. I don’t care to pay any price, the situation here is that makes feel uncomfortable, it seemed like SCAM to me, like I mentioned this is the third time, first 2 I thought it was just a mistake but 3 times seems very weird. I tried to visit and support local because I own a small restaurant as well, and I never ever had to give any review, but this one got my attention because there can be mature people not seeing prices and basically stealing money from them. Warning. While produce appears to be fresh, it is not. Initially only a few things were a problem and I ignored it. The grapes after just 2 days of refrigeration were mildewed and I just tossed them. Then a cabbage was mildewed. I ignored that too. A few days ago, I purchased a watermelon, which fermented and broke open on my kitchen counter the very day after purchase. It was a big gooey mess with clear liquid and white foam all over the counter top. Two days after purchasing a head of iceberg lettuce, I opened it and the inside was rotted. Then I opened a bag of baby carrots, also purchased a few days ago, ate a few and then dumped them into a container to store in the fridge only to find them rotted and slimy. I will not go back. Excellent selection of fresh, seasonal produce, fine meats, sweets, nuts and spices. Charming store with sections extending into the walkway for an inviting feel.

They sell Fish Lady fish from across the street, all market priced according to the day. Seriously fresh, like same-day caught fresh. And it makes such a difference in the quality. All their meat is of the highest quality you can find in the area. Prices are worth it if you are looking for clean meat.
