I am personally not one to write reviews, as I think that they are a bit ridiculous; however, I recently purchased a Revel Rascal for my girlfriend and I literally cannot say enough good things about that bike, or this company.
To start off, when I was building the bike from the frame up, I couldn't get over the attention to detail. Everything is absolutely dialed from the cable routing, to the lines of the frame, and to the smaller accessories like Revel including a headset and chain guide for the super low price of $2,799. Most companies barely sell a carbon fiber frame alone for anything less than $3000.
Although this bike has improved my girlfriend's riding ten fold in every aspect of cycling, and the CBF suspension feels absolutely amazing; my favorite thing about Revel is their environmental consciousness, and desire to reduce waste. I have owned several bikes throughout my lifetime, and have always been disgusted at how much single use plastic each bike company uses to ship their bikes out with. That initiative that Revel takes to help save the environment is huge to me, and will make me a returning customer so long as they are doing that.
On top of all of this, I have chatted with the guys from Revel a few times, and they are all down to earth, humble human beings! Knowing that I can call them up with any question, and they will answer it without hesitation/arrogance that so many companies in the cycling industry are known for, has me locked in as a Revel customer for life! I will definitely be purchasing my next personal bike...
Read moreMy family recently crossed over to the Revel side of the bike world. My husband and I both had the same things to say:
1st. BEST bike buying experience EVER! Combined we have bought more than a dozen high end bikes. Revel was not only a blast to talk bikes with. They were patient, positive and really good at listening. Cooper and Matt especially were solid in their knowledge and support. The crew let me hang out in the back while things were being fine tuned by Reed.. Reed's communication while addressing my bike was stellar.
I bought the El Jefe for multi day adventure biking; holy crap am I stoked. Not only can I lift it above my head with like 3 fingers, not kidding, the bike feels so alive and capable. I may even leave my bestie Juliana behind for most of my daily rides. My husband bought the Tirad and shared the excitement of riding a bike that feels so responsive; playful yet stable.
We bought our son the Rail 29. While he hasn't had a chance to ride it yet, we are blown away with the quality of components for the price we paid. It's a stunning bike and I can't wait to hear feedback from my son when he's in the downhill park.
If your considering a Revel, for the quality customer service alone, do it. They stack their bikes with great components and the...
Read moreI haven't pulled the trigger YET, but my twenty minutes on the phone with NIkki (Sales manager) yesterday just about sealed the deal. As an Idaho boy I've been a bit of a Rocky Mountain loyalist, loving their PNW vibe and treasuring my Thunderbolt (xc/trail). The whispers and recent buzz (and reviews) surrounding Revel have reached Idaho/Montana, and when they came out with their xc/trail bike, the Ranger, I had to give them a call and see what they're all about. All I can say is that speaking with Nikki was everything you could ever ask for as far as a customer service experience. She knew my current ride, knew the bikes I was considering and spoke honestly about the Ranger, the ride, and the Revel brand. If she's a reflection of Team Revel, then the big boys better watch out for this boutique bike brand out of Carbondale (CO), because Revel's approach to customer service and their environmental ethos (striving to make fun and efficient bikes all the while being conscientious about our planet) makes this a company that's easy to support. Oh, and though I haven't had the pleasure of pedaling one yet, their platform and bikes...
