Really disappointed with Phat Thai. I had it all built up in my head, living here as a local who had never been. I can't tell if it's because we ordered poorly, but the brussel sprouts were doused in vinegar and the waterfall beef was just seven pieces of grizzled flat iron and crudités—which was vague on the menu which was also impossible to read with the selected size of type and typos. The only thing I can comend them on is the Green Goddess dressing, which was good. The lighting reflected off the mirror above the bar right into the eyes of anyone sitting there. No music. Austin Powers playing on the TV right above our heads, distractingly pelvic thrusting in a Union Jack speedo. Just what I want for dinner with my family. That was $50 we'll never get back and yes, I'm annoyed and taking to Google to vent. Yes. We could have sent it back. Yes. We could have made a scene. I don't think it bothered us until we got in the car and talked through why we were upset. Maybe this is rare, but I don't think we're going back regardless.

Went here after a long day of snowboarding and driving all the way from Denver before checking in to our hotel. We were so excited to find a Thai Restaurant in the area we were staying in, but I guess this place has a lot of rooms for improvements. It was very generous of them to have crispy chips as a complimentary, and it comes with 2 different sauces too. We ordered bunch of different stuff, we love Thai food ! We ordered laksa, penang curry, Fried chicken, the lamb curry, Thai tea and birch beer. The lamb curry lacks of flavor and I think it's too watery for a curry.. I love my laksa, it's our fave on the table. Penang curry is ok. They can improve the flavor with more spices and flavor I think.. It's a great location and easy parking too!

If you know how Thai food should tastes and want Thai food in Carbondale, this restaurant is not for you. If you enjoy a friendly helpful staff and an upscale atmosphere, then you’ll love this place. For the food, to me, It is an interpretation of Asian ingredients and flavors. Some of the common Thai dishes were missing and lacking a lot of key ingredients. The Phat Thai (Pad Thai), this iteration uses too much paprikas and missing key ingredients. Our party shared two papaya salads and we had 8 different entrees. We all tasted everyone’s food, I personally think the food were good, but it is not authentic.

we loved the service we received here! we'd ordered carry out previously but this was our first time dining in at the restaurant. we got in late in the evening with no reservation but they found a table for us outside thankfully! Brady was our server and we had such a great experience ; my husband is a chef and i also have worked FOH in several restaurants , and we both said he was the best server we've had yet anywhere in the valley - kind, courteous, knowledgeable , attentive, but not overly so. and he had great recommendations for us! the only thing i have to note , and we've noticed this at almost every restaurant we've been to since we've moved out here ... most every dish needs more salt ! chefs are too light handed on the salt / seasonings .... and no one puts salt on the tables :/ we would definitely recommend visiting phat thai regardless and we'll be back again for the wonderful service....

READ THIS: Chicken Egg Roll was the best part of the meal. Phat Thai was shareable with three shrimp that had the tail on??? Why?? It adds literally NOTHING to the dish. Also bland. I have no idea how, but the shrimp taste worse than the tofu????

Phat si iew? more like phat So Ew. It was soupy, and the best thing I can say is that the broccoli had a hint of beef and broccoli from a Chinese place you’d order takeout from on a late night munchies binge.

Brownie was like a flourless brownie that had wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much cocoa in it. Ice cream was just straight gross. Also they were out of cream so I didn’t even taste it together. Like a -7/10 and I eat brownies everywhere I go.

For the price I give this negative rating. -2.5 /10

Since I got takeout on my honeymoon I give it 1. Youre welcome I’m nice. Eat cold pizza...
