Staples — Local services in Carbondale

I wish I could give a 0 rating or a -1, This store is going down hill fast, after waiting 25 min. watching 2 employees help 2 other customers with coping and help on their phones, stating they were not suppose to be doing this for them, my turn came and all I needed was for them to copy a large 2' by 3' architecture sheet, they said I could not wait for it, I could not come back in a hour, they could not do it by the end of the day, or so, because corporate states they're not allowed to help a customer that wants to wait, that it would take 48hrs to complete 2 copies, I called corporate they said there's no such policy, this girl helping me was over whelmed and just did not want to help us, even though she helped the last 2 customers making copies for them, huffing and puffing and whinning the whole time. So I left in a huff, admittedly, So I called Staples in Cape Giradeau, talked with a superstar named Jackson, what a breath of fresh air, after driving 1+ hrs each way, a quarter tank of fuel, he performed this task is less them 10min. friendly, professionally, and with great customer service. Spoke with Mgr. at this store, Ritchie was very apologetic and was happy his store could help. Jackon really stepped up for me, even not knowing the whole story, and Ritchie, stated Jackson was new but doing a great job, has had many compliments for him already. Employees like this one in Carbondale needs to find other employment, customer service is not her gig. I use to go to that store all the time for my office supplies and technical coping. No more, we should all stop putting up with bad service. If they cannot provide at the very least acceptable service, then just close and be done, no sense in hurting Staples good name and...

Very bad customer service from an employee. I ordered some Christmas cards. I was unhappy with the quality of one out of three pictures on the card. A very nice tall gentleman agreed to consult with an employee on editing one of the pictures and reprinting. The following day I received a call from a different female employee and was unable to return the call that day due to timing , so I visited the store to talk to her personally the next day— today. Immediately she was very, very rude. No eye contact and an aggressive and rude tone. She told me she would have to start from scratch and that would be $50 because she had to start over. My cards were only to be approximately $26. I told her I understood that the quality of my picture probably had not been the best and that I put that bad choice on myself. She said she was severely overwhelmed due to short staff and appeared to be taking all frustrations out on me, the customer. She continued her rant. I told her I was unhappy with the cards and was choosing to not take them if they couldn’t be edited. She told me she was just going to throw them in the trash and threw them toward me on the counter to take them. I was not rude at all to her, requesting my desires for the cards, open to being told “ I’m sorry we can’t do this”, if that was the case. Hard to get a civil word in with this extremely rude employee. I will take my business elsewhere. Customers do not deserve this kind of behavior from employees of stores when approached with respect and sincere questions. Management needs to...

Came here to do an Amazon return and I needed to tape the box sheet because I did not have tape at home and they told me that they could not accept the return because it was not taped and that they could not tape it so I asked, can I borrow some tape to tape the box shit and was told no that I would have to buy a roll of tape Which I think is completely absurd because for me just to tape a box is not that bad when I possibly could have spent more money in their store, but because of that I’m not gonna spend no more money in the store I will just find somewhere else to do an Amazon return I believe the store has come to here in Carbondale Illinois and it’s just a joke when you walk into the store, so I would advise anybody to find another store...
