Went in with family to find daughter soccer shoes. Wandered around the shoes for awhile and nobody came to ask if they could help us. Finally went to the front of the store to the register, as this was the only employee we could find and asked if he could get us some shoes to try on. With a sigh and a mutter of " I guess I can do that", he rushed to the back room. He returned and informed us they didn't have the size we need, we would have to find other ones, and rushed off...No problem..We went and found another pair that our daughter liked. We stood there with one shoe in hand for ten minutes, as the man at the register was now busy with other customers, wondering if this was a self service Dunhams and we should go get the size we need from the back ourselves. Finally we see another employee and ask if she can get us the shoes we need. She throws a finger in the air and tells us to wait, she is busy..We wait....And wait...And wait some more...Finally we go and look for her and there she is with another employee setting up a store display..Ok..Guess this is more important than the customers...So we wait some more..Finally she comes our way only to glance at us and rush by to get shoes that she practically throws at another customer...And rushes off again..We wait another 15 minutes and still nothing..We finally put the shoe down and left to drive a half hour away to Dicks sporting goods. Never again will we go to this...
Read moreI recently had an incredibly negative experience at Dunham's with one of their employees that left me feeling upset and disrespected.
This particular employee was incredibly rude and unhelpful when I asked her a simple question about where to find a specific item. I unfortunately do not remember her name but I'm going to have to go out on a limb and guess it was Karen. Not only did she speak to me in a condescending tone, but she also rolled her eyes and scoffed at me when I attempted to clarify my question. Then, she would not allow me to buy an airsoft gun just because I had my little brother with me. I am of legal age to buy one and also it is not like you can go actually harm someone with an airsoft gun.
What really made matters worse, however, was when I saw this same employee treat other customers with the same level of disrespect. It was clear to me that she either didn't enjoy his job or simply didn't care about providing decent customer service.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed with this employee and her lack of professionalism. It's important for businesses like Dunham's to ensure that their employees are treating customers with the respect they deserve, and unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit. If Dunham's keeps this up, they are going to be the next store in the mall...
Read moreWent in to purchase a hand gun, I was very exited as they had it in Stock and I had been searching for it. The price marked on the tag was 499 (regular retail at every other store) It was on sale elsewhere for 409 so I asked if they price matched. They said they did not. Then I decided I would go ahead and by it at full price. When the employee took the gun out of the case he informed me that the price was actually 599 and it was miss marked. I asked of they would honer the price that they had put on the tag and he said they would not. I decided to not buy the gun as I didn't want to pay $100 more more the regular price. I then called the store later to speak with the manager and she told me that the price was due to a human error and she was could not do anything about it. Most stores will honor the price they put on their products so that their customers can trust them! It was their fault that the price was wrong. So who know what you are going to pull off the shelf only to find at the register that you are...
