Would give a zero if I could. I’m new to the state and the area, and was looking for an A/V custom install servicer. Asked around at the local Best Buy and these guys were recommended by word of mouth.
I called their Google listed number and it took me to their phone menu registry each time; press one for custom installs or 2 for retail store. I called for one and a half weeks straight, multiple times a day with no answer or response. Sometimes it even seemed like the call was being ignored manually after a couple rings. Finally left a voicemail and still no response. This morning, I finally landed on some employee after my first couple attempts again.
Here is the gist of how the conversation went:
Me: FINALLY, someone answers! I’m new to the area and need a ceiling install of Focal speakers for my already pre-wired home.
Ovation employee: was your pre-wire done by Guardian?
Me: Yes, and I’m looking for Focal speakers. That’s all I run in my home theater.
Ovation employee: We are a Focal/Naïm distributor, but we don’t sell Focal speakers. We have other options you can choose from.
Me: I could get the speakers myself and have you do the custom install.
Ovation employee: we don’t do installs on products you don’t buy from us. We don’t have time for that, so if you are not going to be buying from us, then there is nothing we can do for you.
Me: thanks for your time.
Ovation employee: You are very welcome.
Wow, what a gold standard of customer service! After your super unprofessional phone system and extreme latent communication and access gap, you have “no time”?
I’ll take my time, my project, and my Dollars somewhere else! If you are reading this, you would do well to...
Read moreFive years ago, we purchased a Klipsch subwoofer and ceiling speakers from this Ovation. Granted this is not their highest end product. Five years goes by and subwoofer is out. Klipsh does not have any warranty past one year on electrical parts. A few weeks ago, I called and asked what to do about the subwoofer and basically gave me someone in Lebanon that you have to take your subwoofer to and was really not sympathetic and a little rude. At the time of purchase, it was about $600 for just the sub new. Now it is 350 to fix, 150.00 for us to drive it to Lebanon and see if it can be salvaged. 399 on crutchforld to flat out replace same exact model. Today we went into the this store mostly to ask questions about the changes in their subwoofers models, see if they had anything that had a better history of lasting. Store is very nice and full of very high-end home theater/audio selections. One other person came in just before us and we were there 20 minutes with no one to help us. Not sure why they have only 1 person with the amount of time and discussion that occurs with these purchases. Bought speakers in 1990s in Greenwood Ovation and it was not a comparable experience at all. Stick with Crutchfield online and save your money on an...
Read moreI can't encourage you enough, to pay a visit to this visual, aural paradise.Recently, I visited Ovation Audio, in search of a solution to our many listening sources, and was contemplating a new set of speakers. Chris took so much time and care with me while I was explaining my concerns, and offered several solutions. I ended up purchasing an affordable, killer amplifier that works with our system and improved the sound remarkably. Even the speakers I am replacing sounded revitalized- more powerful and rich. I promise, there is so much to look at, killer vintage pin ball machines ( you can play them!), jukeboxes, 8 k Video screens..... that you will want to make a return visit... These guys know their craft and service. It's a beautiful large showroom, and safe practices are enforced. It's going to be a long, cold winter- this is the place to make your house as...
