Not what I expected at all. I realize it’s my fault for allowing them the authority to substitute, (in fact I was told that by the manager/owner more than once) but when I ordered a white rose arrangement in a blue vase for a specific theme/message, it is very disappointing to get a clear vase, and white carnations. Word of advice, don’t allow these folks to substitute anything! The substitutions are not even close in my humble opinion. Very disappointed. I called to try and discuss before I took to reviewing here, but was told that they had been very busy and couldn’t order what was needed. Also was told that the flowers that were substituted were of equal value and most people are just as happy with them...but what I couldn’t convey was that it wasn’t about dollars and cents, it was about what message the specific arrangement was to convey. It was supposed to be a special occasion, with a special message, and turned out to be just some white carnations in a clear vase. I could’ve gotten those at Walmart and saved $60. I will accept fault for authorizing the substitution. In fact the owner told me it was my fault in no uncertain terms more than once, and that because I picked an arrangement from her webpage instead of calling, I get what I got, and not what was on the page. In my opinion, I would think if you’re going to substitute everything you would call first. What she fails to acknowledge is that I did call! This is the part that irritated me most...I called before they left for delivery to verify, and despite me calling, no one said “hey by the way we changed everything, is that alright?” So despite me leaving my phone number when I ordered and me even calling directly, I still wasn’t told that I was getting something very different. To be fair, what was sent was fairly nice, hence the 3 star versus a 1 Star. But that is like saying I ordered a steak dinner, but the fish I got served was fairly nice. I understand that the price of steak and fish are the same sometimes, but the point is that the message was lost. Further, to be fair, she did offer to take some white roses and a blue vase tomorrow...and while that is nice...the point is that the moment and purpose were lost and can’t be replaced. I wish when I called I knew to ask them if they were sending what I purchased. Lesson learned. Hopefully this helps...
Read moreWe love Lasting Impressions. I've seen Tanya's work for years in floral arrangements at Church and school concerts. My mom has also been to Lasting Impressions several times to purchase items for nice gifts for church events and funerals. So it was a no-brainer to call Lasting Impressions to design our bouquets. I took in one of the men's ties at our first meeting so Tanya could suggest colors and flowers that would be available in July. I had no idea what I wanted. She suggested most brides' favorites, but was open to ultimately creating what I wanted based on my favorite colors, flowers, amount of color pop, fullness, and budget. The bouquets and boutonnieres were perfect for our wedding day. The tossing bouquet (or in our case, a gift to the longest-married couple) was complementary and vases for the bouquets were loaned. The only additional charge was a $10 delivery fee across town. She was very flexible in meeting with me which was appreciated because I had a very tight summer schedule and was trying to move across the state at the same time. My hairdresser called ahead of time and had a bouquet made to decorate the salon in our colors also from Lasting Impressions. Best of all, Tanya was also working on the floral arrangements for a funeral that was held at the church just hours before our wedding and said she would sneak some of our colors into the arrangements in case the family decided to leave any behind. Read moreWe ordered flowers for my mother's memorial service from Lasting Impressions. We discussed the memorial service date and time and asked if they could deliver flowers prior to the service time of 11AM. The lady who helped us assured us that our order would be delivered by 11AM for the service.
The day of the service came, the service started at 11AM and the flowers had not yet arrived. We completed the service around noon and the flowers still had not arrived. A family member texted the owner or manager about the status of the delivery around noon, and the flowers arrived about 30 minutes later.
Lasting Impressions failed to deliver on their promise and as a result we did not have flowers for my mother's service from her husband and sons.
When the flowers did finally arrive, we received no explanation, apology or refund of any kind. The flowers themselves were wilted and brown. It seemed as though they sat outside or in a car overnight and were forgotten.
I cannot recommend enough that folks find a different flower shop for your events. This place is over priced, and does not deliver on their promises. We were very unsatisfied and disappointed by Lasting Impressions.
They certainly left a lasting impression on my family and I, that this was the last time we would...
