Strand Theater — Local services in Caro

Don't be quick to judge this theater! It isn't anywhere near your big franchise theaters, it's more than that. It provides a cozy element that you can only get from a small town theater! It's not modern by any means. No reclining chairs, no 5 star bathrooms, only one screen, you get the point. It's a theater that takes you back to your childhood. The popcorn here is to die for! When my wife and I have no time to watch a movie, but have a popcorn crave, we go in just to buy their popcorn! It's REALLY worth it! All the staff and owners are super friendly! Great place for a date night or a family outing! It's cheap and easy to find!...

They have gone a bit downhill since they reopened, which is understandable given the major post-shutdown lack of audience. The projector is too dim and has blue specks all over the screen. The former could be fixed by turning down the side lights. I assume they can't afford a new lens for the projector. Surround sound is surprisingly good. Refreshments are fantastic and you can even get popcorn to go now. It's still got that small-town charm like always and I still love this place. It's so depressing walking into a near-empty theater week after week. I will be very sad if (when?) they go out...

Great sound, Great picture, very clean. But the overall best aspect of the facility was the employees. They were polite, expedient, & knowledgeable. They made me feel right at home. The only down side was the outdated credit card machines. My card had to be ran 8 times before the machine would work (apparently this happened to every customer). And the snack bar credit card machine wouldn't work at all..... But don't let that stop you; I would just carry cash. You'll have...
