The Dive Food & Spirits — Restaurant in Carolina Beach

I went to the Dive on Saturday night. It was busy of course, which is expected. However, I stood there for a while to order drinks, than waited to receive the drinks and than even longer for the male bartender to run my card. Well when he brought my card back to me, that was the only thing he brought. I never received a credit card receipt nor did he ever tell me a total. I waited for a few minutes longer to see if he would bring it to me and even tried to get his attention. It never happened. Well I had to log into my account the next day to see the charge because I was never told or shown. I know it is the beach and it is going to be pricey but for what I ordered, it shouldn't have been that much.. I thought that was it though on my card. But nope. The male bartender thought he gave me such GREAT service he put himself a tip on top of the total. I am not happy about this. I would have gave the guy a tip if he actually brought me a receipt to sign and put a tip. BUT THAT NEVER HAPPENED. I will never go to the Dive again and I will be calling later to let them know what the bartender did was very unprofessional and unacceptable. After a hot sunny day on the beach today, my daughter decided she wanted wings for dinner. I called this location 7pm tonight to place a takeout order. A female answered the phone said "Thanks for calling can you hold, placed the phone down to continue a background conversation for literally 10 mins. I finally hung up and decided to walk over thinking maybe they were busy. When I arrived not only was the phone still off the hook (lying on the counter) but the place was not busy. There were a few people sitting at the bar and one couple at a table. A male was cleaning off tables and the female carrying on a casual conversation with a guy having a beer. My daughter and I stood there waiting for her to acknowledge us and to place a take out order. After she concluded her irreverent conversation, she proceeded to collect the receipts and tips left by guests whom were no longer there and NEVER acknowledged us. At this point I wasted 10 mins on hold and stood in person for 10 mins, NEVER had the opportunity to place a to go order. Not sure if they just couldn't handle a crowd with the event going on but the service was very poor. My party and I tried several times at this bar, only because the charity fundraiser drinks outside were sold out. The first time was absolutely forgivable bc it was during the peak of the crowd. We didn't mind waiting, it was busy. However, when the crowd started to clear out, we tried several times standing right up at the bar, making eye contact with the male bartender. He ignored us the entire time and never once even attempted to ask if we needed anything. At several times he sat and just hung out with a group of guys at the bar, another time he was leaning up against the bar watching TV or just paying no mind to anyone but his own needs.
