I work in a pharmacy and our first aid kits are no where as cool as a military style canvas first aid roll up bag!!! I just had to find something special for my dad this x-mas and this was the store.

My dad was a UH-1 pilot, and I was trying to find him something for X-mas. As we all get older, we try to find something more meaningful for our parents, and I came into the store, asking what were some type of items he would have worn or had with him during his service in Vietnam.

The person that helped me was very knowledgeable of the era, and brought up an assortment of items that my dad would have had during the war. I later talked to my sister about it, we got him something together.

Besides finding something for my dad, the items that really caught my eye was it's survival tool's and outdoor type items. I came in there looking for a gift, but found myself wanting to buy survival supplies for myself... such as an entrenchment shovel (for digging a car out of sand in an emergency), or perhaps one of those really skinny sleeping bags for those "just in...

I go to these guys every year for both my van and car for inspection. All the people who are on site are great and to the point, very personable and professional at the same time. They'll tell you if something's wrong and where/how to fix it and sometimes they already know how to fix it! They refer great places when they can, which WAS great because I saved money on a muffler. Last time in the man on duty was concerned about my muffler and he was right to be, he remembered I had 2 sons with me before. It's dangerous and you can pass out! So it cost me less than 100 bucks to get a brand bew muffler installed and my van is running waaaayyy better; ever since I bought that work van they've helped me SO much to keep it safe and driving. 100% recommend. Even if it means driving a few extra miles, these guys care and will help you get your vehicle inspected or if it's already perfect it takes like 15 to 20 minutes...

I'm from milwaukee WI and I grew up in this area for 10 years and I'm 35. This is the best surplus place not only in NC but honestly anywhere in the 🇺🇸! I'm not sure what it looks like inside anymore but my favorite part of walking in this awesome place was the Rambo weapon they had/have on display! As a kid I drooled and when I was 20 joined the Army and had the chance to shoot these incredible weapons! Thanks for the years...
