Every time I visit, I’m impressed by the wide variety of fresh produce, high-quality meats, and an incredible selection of Asian products that you can’t find in regular supermarkets. We were referred to check out 99 Ranch Market. We were impressed with the abundance of products. However, not so impressed with customer service.

Customer service: An associate admitted to not knowing a requested product nor where to find it and walked away. Next, a cashier and I bagged our groceries but the cashier failed to give us our purchased items. Although we lingered for a bit afterwards, not too far from the cashier, she didn't attempt to call out to us to give us our purchased item. I called the store, eventhough I stated I wasn't calling to argue the matter but to correct it, manager appeared to accuse me of 'forgetting' my bag. Afterwards, she did attempt to assure me she'll replace my products when I return to visit again. Produce: Although I was missing 2 items the items I came home with: 'cucumber' tasted funny and molded a day after the purchase. The 'mango' took 1 week to ripen but was hard inside, bruised and not tasteful. Bakery: Buy 5 get 1 free but it was awful. All pastries were bland and custard was straight butter with no taste. We ended up scrapping off the 'custard' and added our own spread to make it edible. I knew I should've gone to 85 Bakery next door, lesson learned.

I'm sure I'll return when I'm in the area again and 'if' I need a product from 99 Ranch Market but for now I'll content with the other...

Spoiled meat...spoiled meat ...spoiled meat :( I love the bakery area, I love the Pho restaurant, I love the produce, but I hate it... I hate it so much that I had to spend $18 today for 5 lbs ham in the meat section, excitedly tried to cook it for a nice party dish for Sunday and then smelling that soury, ammonia-ish, toxic-ish upon tearing that clear plastic bag that they sealed with the sticker price on it ..why didn't the meat guy not recognize the smell? Anyhow, I denied it at first, washed it with ACV maybe it'd help, put it in a slow cooker with all the other expensive ingredients only to smell that awful, spoilt, horrible smell all over my apartment after thirty minutes ....arrggghhhhhh!!!! NEVER AGAIN with the "SPOILED" meat section!!! Only 1 out of several times I purchased meat and I didn't have any problems in the past ... it only takes one bad, wasteful, traumatic meat experience and that was it!!! That's eighteen bucks I won't see again but I feel so duped...waste of money, waste of time, waste of energy, and embarrassment that instead of a cooked dish, I'd have to bring eggrolls for a party ....how could you return a spoiled meat in an Asian store? Lesson learned ...I still love the bakery...
