I just had my daughter’s 18 birthday party there last night. When I booked the party, no one told me to insure everyone had ID’s, and these are kids, so some had ID’s because they drive, and some didn’t. I should have been told to make sure everyone had ID’s when the party was booked, but the situation was quickly rectified—I explained to them, these are kids, mark them all with an X, I’ll vouch for them and let’s move on! Two things that truly rubbed me the wrong way way (the real reason I am writing this review) 1). You had to leave your ID and credit card at the front desk, and I am NOT a fan of leaving my credit card with people I don’t know, that was incredibly uncomfortable for me, AND, I was paying with cash, so there was NO NEED TO SEE MY CREDIT CARD! If they are that concerned about people leaving without paying, then they need to make you pay up front, don’t MAKE PEOPLE leave their credit card for hours and hours. 2). I was as spending hundreds of dollars at this place, with teenagers that have sung for hours, ate hot wings, cake and etc, and they are DYING of thirst: I asked for A (as in ONE) pitcher of water (hell two would have been magical) with my order, and do you know they told me that I had to buy bottled water? For thirty kids? I KNOW for a fact that this place is connected to a restaurant, and they don’t have pitchers for complimentary WATER? I asked how much is a bottle of water? And, they guy I was talking to had to ask someone else (in a different language), and (A) bottle of GENERIC water was $2.17. Let’s see $2.17 times 30 (even though I was spending hundreds of dollars) over $60 for WATER, are you kidding me, I declined. Talk about price gouging, that was ridiculous!!!! This place would be really nice (it’s super cute), if they would not try to get EVERY cent out of your pocket, to have a good time. IN BUSINESS, you have to give a little (you can get free water almost ANYWHERE), to get a bigger return, and have customer...
Read moreI first started coming to this place regularly about two and a half years ago when it first opened. The prices for the mini room was $5 then— now it’s climbed up to $15. Same goes for the other rooms at around the same rate. Their initial appeal was their cheap prices— maintenance of the place was subpar, but it was easy to overlook... however...
On my recent visit here, we were charged double our original fee for bringing a water bottle in. They make you sign for fine print, and it states that charges MAY apply if you bring “outside food or drinks in”. Unaware that water was against this policy, we asked if they could excuse us for this one time. However, they rudely declined and charged us almost fifty dollars for not even an hour for the mini room (we were charged $8 over when we were waiting).
Also, they charge you for the time that you wait for them to check you out, which, I don’t think customers should be held liable for their incompetence or lack of staff on hand... They also add an automatic 18% tip for doing nothing but walking you to your room...? Often at times they’ve also charged extra hours or food/drinks that weren’t even ordered. I always have to put a stopwatch when I come to this place so I don’t get scammed. They are so VERY stingy and will do anything for extra cash and that behavior, I think, is almost disgusting. Sometimes it also smells like sewage, tables are sticky, and maintenance here is overall terrible. I was willing to overlook it for all these years but not anymore.
They also search-checked my friend’s bag before entering which I’m pretty sure is against the law. But whatever, because I won’t be coming back here again! They’ve just lost a loyal and frequent customer of over two years with their stingy and rude attitude. There are many other better places with lower or of equivalent price. I recommend going to Round One or Singbox! They’re way cheaper and nicer to their customers and don’t charge...
Read moreSweet and sour experience... rented a room for 10 and they try to overcharge for more people. The place and conceptis really cool and neat. I think inn the average people have a great experience but we had a few issues. Regardless of them we had a great time. But this issues we just cannt ignore them.
Their consoles do not have all languages integrated. Spanish is very limited except for a diy-like console with Spanish only songs...not updated... So they made us change room just to have the Spanish machine. Thousands of songs that's 👍 good (but nothing in English or any other) but outdated. Once in the new room. And a loooooooooong set up. Easy over an hour after clock in. Got our drinks... Incomplete. And our server took a while to get the food order. Once we place the for order. I had to go to theoffice after an hour to complain about how long was it gonna take... I was told some silly tech excuse because the server never ringed up our order in the computer.
The sour side... overselling time and occupancy. song machines are not standard in every room. I thinkall languages should be integrated in an standard platform. And/or seamless transition from one to another. don't overcharge... servers need to be reliable...can't be? Do it old fashion way...pen and paper. room timer should begin once room setup is ready and customers are told how to use system. Not at walk in the room check in... if customers are transferred because of size or system etc. star timer all over. It's not the clients fault not having an standard system and database...
