The food is great and the staff are always so friendly! Probably my favorite Thai restaurant in town. Note: all of the servers help each other (from what I have seen every time I have been) so if you need something, don't feel bad for asking any of them to help.
My favorite dish is the Pad Woon Sen (glass noodles) with shrimp. I typically get mine without baby corn and tomatoes... at spicy level 3. They put a lot of shrimp in the dish which is nice. No skimping on protein here!
I've also tried the Khao Soi Gai which is very tasty and reminds me of my trip to Thailand. I love this dish as well but the egg noodles are much heavier than glass noodles so I have to be a lot hungrier for this dish. The only downside of this dish is trying to get the meat off the drumstick after it has been sitting in the soup. I kind of wish it came on a plate on the side so I could take the meat off without getting so messy.
My husband got the Khao Moo Dang Moo Grob (O7 on the menu). He liked it a lot. My mother makes a similar dish and the pink sauce is much more saturated with the seasoning than at Too Thai so my only improvement for the dish would be to put more of the seasoning in the sauce. This dish is super filling (lots of rice and protein) so it could probably be split between two people.
The only complaint is that orders don't really seem to ever come out together. The past 2 times I have had my meal long enough to finish before my husband received his. They are always super busy and we try to be as patient as possible... but just a heads up if your patience is thin. Also the parking lot gets packed quick (at least on Sundays) because of all the restaurants in the shopping center so definitely plan accordingly and give yourself extra time!
While there is some room for improvement, we still love coming here. The food is so yummy and the servers are nice. Be sure and try this place out for some...
Read moreToo Thai Street Eats, this place is CHEATED on my food. It is not the right food portion for the high price that I had to pay for. They are lately and recently being very CHEAP. It already happened the last time I ordered to go, and now it is happening again for the 2nd time. Last time, I wasn't happy, but I tried to positively think that, maybe they were very busy and I let it go. Wow, now it happens exactly the same. So, I SERIOUSLY need to say something. I ordered the papaya salad, the crab fried rice, and the pad kee mow with beef for a total of almost $42. From the picture, Is it a carrot salad or papaya salad? The papaya costs $8.99 and 99% is carrot, cabbage, green beans and tomatoes with some shredded pieces of papaya on the top. Seriously, If it is a carrot salad, then you should charge me way less and have it on the menu as "CARROT SALAD." Is it a crab fried rice that costs me $16.49 or just a regular fried rice I can get it from anywhere or make it myself. It costs almost $17 for a portion, but comes with 1 small piece of crab at the corner. The rest is just rice and some small pieces of egg. That's it. Seriously! I didn't get what I paid for. I understand that the inflation has caused food prices to rise, but your place already changed the price and increased the price a whole lot. This is definitely not worth for a $9 salad and a $17 crab fried rice. Plus, the Pad Kee Mow tastes bland and lack flavor.
New review - WARNED! There was a DEAD FLY inside my food. Completedly ruined my appetite. I let our waitress know about it. Instead of waving the price for that item, I still got charged for it. Very bad customer at this place. Look carefully every bite you put into your mouth, otherwise you may eat and swallow that down your throat without knowing...
Read moreOh man, I don't know where to start! I first tried Too Thai last year when I went to the Korean festival in Carrollton with some friends. I don't eat a lot of meat so Thai food is a favorite when it comes to more vegetarian friendly meals. I waited for a bit to get seated as it was very popular that day but when I tried their food I could see why. I got the Pad Thai, one of my favorite meals in general, and somehow they managed to take the meal to another level. It feels lighter than the Pad Thai from other places but don't be confused because it's all the same ingredients. Yet the way they prepare also makes the meal and ingredients taste more fresh.
I hadn't forgotten about this place and have mentioned it to my husband various times. Well we finally decided to drive all the way from Fort Worth to Carrollton just to eat here. Yeah, it's THAT good! He hasn't been to fond of Pad Thai in a while so he originally was going to get something else. But I convinced him and he finished every bit of the meal quicker than I did. He absolutely can't wait to come try it again and their other dishes.
The staff are very friendly and check up on you every so often to make sure if you need anything. We went on a weekday in the afternoon and it was slow at the time so we got our food fast. You can call ahead on your order and they have sanitizer by the door to keep the restaurant safe and clean. They are doing reduced capacity but all staff members wear mask to make sure your food is prepared in a safe manner. I advice to go try their food, you won't regret it, and by doing so supporting them during these...
