This review is after completing a decoden jewelry box and a small bear pour.
Pictures posted are of the decoden jewelry box before it got ruined and the bear while being poured.
Good stuff: Clean, organized, lots of items and colors to choose from. I went on a Wednesday afternoon, so it wasn't packed at all, but I stopped by on a Saturday to pick up my bear after it dried.
The bear pour was fun. ⚠️WARNING. YOU HAVE TO WAIT TIL THE NEXT DAY TO TAKE HOME YOUR BEAR.⚠️ I can see that the price paid for the extra paint that runs off and probably is wasted. My daughter (3) enjoyed this a lot and she wanted to do another immediately, but even a small bear was $38. There was a lot of paint colors to choose from.
There were a lot of cabochons to choose from for decoden and my daughter loved the selection, but...
Bad stuff:
... a lot of icing choices were nearly empty. I had to use 2 bags of purple and 2 bags of white because they were all nearly empty.
The decoden was definitely too pricey. You're paying for an experience. The decoden "icing" doesn't dry fast enough. I did plenty of these back during college days. They try to dry it faster with a dryer and it melted the lid a bit so now there's a gap when the lid is closed. However, it's still not fully dry, so the icing got stuck to the bag it was placed in and when you remove it, it just took some of the icing off. $30 or $40 (can't remember exact price) for a slightly melted plastic jewelry box with decorations that didn't stay on.
I went to pick up my bear on Saturday. Saturday was very very very packed. Maybe a little too busy? It was hard to walk around the tables and the...
Read moreThis place has been open for about 3 months. It’s located in a plaza with Japanese restaurants, Taiwanese/Chinese bubble tea shops and other establishments. I came for an activity with my friend as she was visiting Dallas and this was so much fun. I love interactive activities so this was so my vibe.
My friend made phone cases and I made a drip bear. Allow yourself time for the drip bear if you make it, maybe 1-2 hours. It was such a process but worth it at the end for me lol. The instructors will walk you through the process and help any questions if needed.
They offer things like water bottles, rugs, mirrors, hair clips, drip bears and soooo much more on their menu to create.
They also offer snacks at the counter if interested but we were able to bring outside drinks from the nearby...
Read moreThis place is very disorganized. Despite having a reservation for a group, we were seated at the bar while walk-ins got tables. I wanted to decorate a phone, but the place lacks charm and doesn’t have what’s shown on display or on their website. We asked if we could wait for a table to clear up so our group could sit together, and they said they'd see when the next group was done. We still ended up at the bar. When I asked if they would refill the charms, since many were empty, they said, 'That's it. It's always like that, and they don't fill it.' I expressed my disappointment that many charms for the decorations were missing, and the staff's response was, 'Well, no one is making y'all do it. I had already paid a $45 deposit to hold our spots. She was very rude and...
