My friend and I made a reservation here which requires a $10 deposit per person. We reserved to do the decoden art, and upon looking at the menu prior we were excited to decorate a photo frame. Once we arrived they showed us the available things we could decoden, and unfortunately they were sold out all their frames for us to decorate. As a backup, we decided on hair clips.
I was not very impressed by their selection of charms. They were out of all the small beads that we wanted to use to fill in small gaps. It was all big charms, but at least there was still a cute small assortment. I asked a staff if they had any more small charms, but I was informed their shipment of charms have been delayed as they come from China.
It was our first time doing decoden, and no one explain to use how to do it. We were only informed about grabbing charms and where we would sit. Upon a family sitting next to us, a staff came over to explain to them how to pipe so we listened in then.
Their decoden whipping cream is honestly the worst part. Thereâs a shelf full of bags you just grab to use, but all of the bags were dry and hard to pipe. I had to ask a staff for a new bag of the decoden cream because none of the options on the shelf were working for us. Once I got a new bag, it was much smoother to apply and finish our projects.
Once we finished our creations, we gave it to a staff to heat up with a small portable fan. We were informed to wait 1-2 days before using them. My friend and I waited 2-3 days before touching them, and we both had clips where the decoden cream completely came off.
Overall, I probably wouldnât recommend doing decoden here. This place looks more popular for rug tufting. I wish we did a walk-in to see their selection before making a reservation for...
Read moreWe decided to spend our last day in Dallas at Tutu today as there have been so many good reviews on Tiktok. We were very satisfied with the customer service and wouldve wanted to give a 5 star. Once we got the our stuffs done (comb and case), the staff put the dryer over, warned us to be super careful when carrying it the bag. We knew that it was hard balancing esp I got the comb with lots of charms and paint on. We didnât drive so we needed to walk and tried so hard balancing the bag. However, 2 hours later the paint still didnât dry at all and our decoration messed up. Somebody from the store nearby we were in told us they got a box last time and it took ~3-4 days to dry instead of 1 day like the staff said. We werenât also told that they ran out of boxes. We went back to the store and asked if we can get a refund as we donât have time to redo. The staffs were nice enough to assist us but the MANAGER refused to give us even a partial refund and asked if we can redo. We explained our situation but he still didnât try to understand. We ended up having to bring the paint, tips and charms home to redo but I no longer want it as the manager didnât try to accomodate, not to mention he said its OUR responsibility to take care of the stuffs once we leave. We didnât know how long it take to dry nor whether they had boxes ( they never mentioned it when we checked out). Iâm visiting Dallas again anytime soon but I think this is a food for thought when considering places to go. The manager doesnât care about the customers at all!!!
I never want to give a 1 star review but what happened today is very...
Read moreThis was a fun activity but the service isnât the best. I set up a birthday reservation for their private room and everyone was happy with their creation! The service was lacking. When everyone arrived there was no one there to teach everyone how to start the process or what we are suppose to do. No one was also checking in to see if we had any questions which is fine since itâs straightforward, but you want your customers to feel cared about so this would be good feedback. I did ask for help and only then our group was taught everything we needed to know. Another thing which was our fault but when opening the fridge in the private room a glass bottle fell and shattered on the floor. I asked for a broom and mop and thankfully the staff was able to sweep up the glass but left all the liquid on the floor and they did not come back to mop it. This could have been a lot worse as there are some people in the world who would intentionally slip on it for a lawsuit.
I did bring a birthday cake and asked to put it in the fridge. Most places would offer this without asking and I also did forget it so I had came back to pick it up. Getting back to their desk a gentleman from the staff walked up on me way too quickly for comfort and too close and said âwhatâs do you needâ. Donât walk up to someone that quickly unless youâre confronting them for something. It could send the wrong message. The staff was also joking about eating the cake as well.
Overall there should be a process in place for groups especially when you are offering a service for...
