Okay Iâve never expected any tea house around here to have such high quality teas. I didnât have much expectation for this place and I went in with very average enthusiasm but once I tasted the drinks it was like an experience I will never forget! Iâm so used to tea places selling such low quality teas and powders and syrups that when I first took a sip, my mind was over the moon! You can really taste the quality ingredients in the drinks and the main component, the tea, really takes priority over the additional ingredients and toppings (AS IT SHOULD). I have found my new go to spot for drinks when I want high quality refreshing tea. I will be returning frequently. We got the classic green tea with honey since it was rated one of the best and also the Cassia Black Tea with Mousse. Both were extremely good and not too sweet! The balance of everything was on point. The way they extract their teas ensure that you taste all of the best flavors of the tea and not a diluted tea flavored water base. It even smells so good inside. I donât think Iâve ever had my tea brewed so fresh from a boba place before. But this isnât just your ordinary boba spot, if you value high quality tea experience and know about good teas I would suggest you come here. Itâs the same price as the garbage of sugar and water they sell you at those other boba chains. You...
Read moreChicha San Chen in Carrollton delivers an elevated bubble tea experience with its freshly brewed, high-quality teas. Whether youâre a tea connoisseur or just looking for a refreshing drink, this spot is worth a visit.
Atmosphere & Service: The shop has a sleek, modern ambiance with a calm and inviting vibe. The ordering process is smooth, and the staff is knowledgeable, ready to recommend drinks based on your preferences. Since each tea is brewed to order, thereâs a short wait, but the freshness and depth of flavor make it worthwhile.
Drinks: ⢠Dong Ding Tea Latte â This was a standout! The tea had a rich, roasted aroma balanced perfectly with the creamy milk. It wasnât overly sweet, allowing the natural oolong flavors to shine through. A must-try for those who enjoy bold yet smooth tea. ⢠Special Fruit Tea â Incredibly refreshing and fragrant. The blend of real fruit and high-quality tea made for a well-balanced, slightly tangy, and naturally sweet drink. Perfect for a lighter, more refreshing option.
Price: Slightly higher than your typical boba shop, but given the premium ingredients and meticulous brewing process, itâs worth it.
Overall: If you appreciate high-quality tea, Chicha San Chen is a fantastic choice. The Dong Ding Tea Latte and Special Fruit Tea were both excellent, making this place a go-to for a refined tea...
Read moreI have mixed feelings about this place. Iâll break it down into the good and the bad:
The good: -The tea is good. Not amazing, and certainly not worth the 1.5 hours wait time, but it is good. You can tell they use high quality tea leaves.
-The toppings I tried were also above average. I like their boba better than most places: itâs the perfect softness and sweetness.
-The aesthetics are immaculate.
The bad: -Why is there only one cashier??? Itâs such a silly decision, because you end up with dozens of people in line to order.
-The wait time is ridiculous. I spent over an hour in line to order, and then another 20-25 minutes for the drinks to be ready. Again, WHY IS THERE ONLY ONE CASHIER???
-Supposedly they donât have WiFi for customers. I say âsupposedlyâ because they have several WiFi networks in the store, including one thatâs literally named âChicha San Chen Guestâ. But when I asked the cashier for the WiFi password, she told me bluntly they donât have free WiFi. THEN WHY DO YOU HAVE A GUEST WIFI?!?!?! I feel like she was either uninformed or lying to me. Regardless, Iâve never heard of any tea or coffee spot that doesnât give their customers free WiFi.
-For the size drinks you get, the price is too expensive. After tax most of their popular drinks will run you around $7 each, and closer to $8 each if you want to...
