Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Carson City

My review has nothing to do with the store and everything to do with one employee. Unfortunately I never got a name but she has greasy black hair and glasses at around 6:15 pm. My son is 8 years old and got a skateboard. We were going shopping for unrelated items to his new skateboard but he wanted to ask if they had knee pads. He’s a very polite child and saw no one around and said, “excuse me do you have knee pads?” One of the two employees in the front said maybe and told us where they’d be located and my son said, “thank you I got a skateboard.” He’s very excited. (That employee was very helpful and super nice) 10 stars for them! We walked away and I was at the phone cases NEXT TO THE REGISTER…… I hear next to us and not quietly I might add by the other employee who was not involved in my sons interaction “I want to be a teacher but kids like that annoy me” UMMMMMM I AM SO SORRY MAYBE SAVE THAT FOR BREAK ROOM CONVERSATION YOU MISERABLE B%%!? My son was very polite…and I get it kids aren’t for everyone but why not pay attention to the fact you are working and your surroundings. Absolutely...

Went today 5/14/24. Not a large selection, but did find a few items of clothing and quite a few other things. Rugs, towels, gadgets. Got to the check out at the front of the store and there found only one poor young checker. And a line of many shoppers, several with carts full, as was mine. I am disabled, and just the shopping was tiring. No way I could stand there for the possibly 30 minutes or more it would take. I was annoyed, as while I didn't really need any of the items, I wanted them. Apologized to the checker. Saying Iknew it wasn'ther fault; she said she had tried to get help but had been ignored. Pretty disappointed that during the peak hour if the day I was refused from using the back dressing rooms. I was told I had to use the front ones that are under the video recording system by the lady that was working the the back dressing room. Needless to say, I put my stuff back (as well as several others that I witnessed) will never be back to this store. I found the lady to be rude and uncaring. Not a great way to treat your customers. Carson has so few stores as it is and to be treated like a criminal when trying to just get a fitting room is not ok.
