Aug. 3, 2024 update. I really hoped it would have improved here. It smelled like bum piss in the entry and outside you could smell the sewage. I simply ordered soup, salad and bread sticks with an appetizer and a kids pizza. Hard to f up. Salad came out pretty quick with the first order of bread sticks. Then we waited... Waited... Waited.. waited some more. The server finally came and asked if "they" never brought our pizza. I said no, and neither our soup or appetizer. 15 minutes later he came back and said our meal would be comped along with the kids pizza and appetizer since they took a half hour to come out. He said they were all out of soup, salad and bread sticks. Then a manager came and apologized and ensured us our meal would be no charge and also said we could order desert and it would be on the house. Then our server brought more salad and some soup to go. We ordered desert and it was good. Then we got our bill and were surprised to see we had been charged for everything but the kids pizza and appetizer. Even through in a charge for a game of some sort when we never touched the stupid tablet thing on the table. Our server was terrible for the first hour and then stepped it up at the end. But we called for service with the tablet and the red light flashed for 15 minutes as 4 other servers repeatedly walked passed us with their noses up. Not once did anyone ask if we needed something. What a terrible experience. They should close this location because it's a terrible representation of what olive garden is. By the way, don't be cheap. Turn on the ac. I was sweating my butt off in that corner while I was ignored. Maybe they couldn't see me as I sank all the way through the worn out cushion on the booth. Seriously. Drive 30 minutes and go to Reno. This location is joke.
While the server was mostly nice, she had to try really hard to smile. She got a little pissy when I spoke up about not getting my sons order right and not bringing us more "endless sauce". She never asked why I didn't eat or take home my $23 plate. My shrimp was raw and they used no sauce or seasoning in my chicken and shrimp carbonara. It was a pile of spaghetti noodles with raw shrimp and undercooked chicken and a little olive oil. The bread sticks were not quite burned but like over Crunchy toast. The salad had no dressing at all or at least not enough to moisten the lettuce or provide any flavor. I feel this meal was worth maybe $20, not the $90...
Read moreI had the Chicken Marsala here with a bowl of Toscana Zuppa (Soup) and it was fabulous! First time I had Chicken Marsala in a long time (since I last made some at home) and very much enjoyed my meal.
The chicken was moist and thickly cut. It was exactly as I remembered it from the last time I had it at an Olive Garden over in Austin, Texas. That means that the chain keeps the food quality consistent between locations (at least as far as I've been able to tell).
They made my requested substitute without any protest. It normally comes with Alfredo and I requested instead some spaghetti pasta with some more of the Marsala sauce on it.
The bread sticks were delicious, particularly when enjoyed with the zuppa.
Their Toscana Zuppa didn't have as much Kale as I'd have wanted, at least in the bowl I got, but it was delicious and satisfied my craving for that flavor. I made the stuff at home, but sometimes it's good to go to the source and enjoy the recipe that inspired copycat recipes galore on the internet.
My drink was a lemonata (sp?). I worried that it might be alcoholic due to how it looks, but it wasn't. I very much enjoyed the seltzer mixed with the passion fruit and ---- hmm... I forget the other fruit that was in the drink, but it was delicious, nonetheless.
The service was stellar. I got a very friendly waitress, who checked on me around seven times, confirming quality of food, replacing the drink for me once, and showing me how to make use of the machine on the table that can take your payment. The front slot is NOT for your credit card!!! The correct slot is hidden on the right side and behind. It's not obvious at a glance, but for those who don't notice that detail, this hopefully will help a reader to avoid a slightly embarrassing...
Read morethe atmosphere was nice. it was kind of clean for a restaurant but the table seats where a little dirty but not to bad so I didn't mind. I did find a pill on the seat. but I don't mind I know when i'm in a restaurant it's not going to be a 100% clean winch It is okay with me. the table was clean that's all I asked for. but I wish I could say the same about the service. the waiter didn't even check if we need something. are drinks were empty for an hour. and it wasn't busy when we went there. the waiter brought salad and he forgot the cheese and then he told us that he was going to come back with the cheese for are salad but he never came back with the cheese. an hour later waiting for drinks to be refilled some new waiters came and finally refilled the cup and finally brought the cheese. and I asked for a smoothie he gave me iced tea which I understand he got confused about what I ordered. the service of the waiter was the worst me and my family ever seen. we thought of just walking out. it's disappointing to come to a restaurant and not be given proper service. we all work are butts off working to get what we have. and to get treated like this it's just disappointing. all the food took long which is understandable. but the food wasn't good or bad. we ask lasagna it was the flatness smallest lasagna in the world it was so sad looking. at that point it's better to buy a frozen lasagna in the store. and the food portions were small for what your paying for . we went here before the service was okay. but this experience was so bad that we will never come back to this specific Olive Garden...
