The recent experience I’ve had with Verizon is worse than all other negative experiences I’ve had with retail companies combined. I wanted to tell my story to discourage others from giving their business to Verizon and making the same mistake I made.
In May 2023, I purchased a pair of Air Pods Pro 2 on Verizon’s website and picked them up at the Carson, CA store. I returned them about a week later and am still waiting for a refund over a month after the return was made. I have a FedEx tracking number with proof of delivery which shows the AirPods were returned to their delivery center and signed for by an employee.
I’ve talked to 7 different Verizon employees including their “Executive Relations Team” and no one can provide an explanation for why I have not received a refund, simply saying “we will put in a ticket and follow up within 5-7 business days.”
I have filed claims with the BBB and the relevant Attorney General offices. I have disputed the charge with my bank and am putting the final touches on a lawsuit where I will not only be seeking my money back but will also be pursuing compensation for time spent as well as punitive damages and penalties. I have spent over 10 hours of time trying to resolve this.

My uncle came here looking for a new SIM card for a new phone since he had just lost his old one. He said a gentleman at this store informed him that they were unable to help him since his new phone is not compatible with Verizon (weird…it’s a 2023 Motorola Razr). He went to another Verizon store & they couldn’t help him either b he was not an account manager. Fair enough.
So I return to this store, since I’m an account manager. I was kindly greeted by a woman at the door and I told her what I needed. Her enthusiasm quickly disappeared and she gave me the same spiel the original gentleman gave my uncle. I explained to her this is a new phone bought online and not with another carrier, surely it should be compatible. Reluctantly, she passed me off to her colleague (Fillete/Villete) and thank god she did.
Fillette/Villete (again I’m so sorry if I’m butchering your name) helped me quickly and was thorough. She had issues with some code on the phone, but did not give up. She even made sure the line and internet worked before I left. This entire process with her took 15 mins or less.    Read moreFinancial Predators, don't trust any of these guys, I came in being frank about my ATT Service and how my bill was over $300+ for 2 lines and an apple watch, at times more, their Manager quoted me at $165 initially for similar offerings, one of the staff members was blown away I was paying for my AT&T service at that rate that he went around the whole Lobby showed everyone my statement and made a scene about how appalling my bill was, and he promised that my rates wont be at higher $180 which is already higher after being quoted at $165 .When I received my bill I was charged for 2 new lines after informing them my numbers to be transitioned to Verizon, that came out to $90 (probably went to commission) bringing my Bill to $300+. switching was a Total Mistake I wish I stayed at AT&T atleast my calls don't drop but these guys don't care, since all they care about is there pockets, taking advantage of people, and it's transparent with their attitudes. The Customer Service Reps working in 4000 miles away in Philippines did a better job readjusting my bill but that's only for 1 month, and because of these guys and their ruthlessness I am forced to argue my Bill every month now cause they lied, they only care about their paychecks, and when theirs a problem they turn around and point the finger at you.
