My recent experience at Bailey's was so utterly disappointing that I feel compelled to share it. As someone who appreciates fine jewelry and values creativity, I walked into this establishment with high hopes of bringing my vision to life. Little did I know that I would leave feeling insulted and belittled.
When I called ahead to discuss custom jewelry options, I was greeted warmly by a staff member who seemed eager to help. Buoyed by this friendly exchange, I made my way to the store, excited to see what could be created for my bilateral natural ear piercings. However, the moment I stepped through the door, the atmosphere shifted dramatically. Instead of the welcoming environment promised over the phone, I was met with indifferent stares and dismissive gatekeeping attitudes from the staff. My request to speak with the jeweler was met with a curt reply: he was "too busy" to see me.
What unfolded next was nothing short of disheartening. Instead of a polite refusal, I found myself the subject of mockery among the staff, who snickered and suggested that perhaps I should visit a tattoo artist instead of a jeweler for my custom jewelry request. Seriously? A tattoo artist? I wanted to adorn my ears with exquisite pieces, not get inked! This comment was not only irrelevant but also insulting, dismissing my genuine enthusiasm for jewelry and the creative process.
It was abundantly clear that the jeweler lacked not only the passion required to bring ideas to life but also the fundamental respect needed to treat a paying customer with dignity. If this was their standard of service, I can't help but wonder if they truly understand the art they profess to celebrate. One would think that a skilled jewelry designer would leap at the opportunity to engage with a customer eager to invest in a bespoke piece of jewelry.
As I left the store, rather than feeling excited about a potential collaboration on customized jewelry, I felt humiliated and belittled. Creative businesses thrive on collaboration and understanding their customers’ visions. In this case, I received the opposite—disrespect over creativity.
To the team at Bailey's, I suggest reevaluating your approach to customer service. There’s a fine line between being busy and being dismissive, and you’ve undeniably crossed it. If you’re not equipped to accommodate customer requests or simply lack the creativity to do so, a more transparent approach might serve you better than sarcasm. I won’t be coming back, and I certainly won’t recommend your store to anyone else looking for a respectful and collaborative environment.
Consider this a wake-up call; creativity and passion are vital in your industry, and so is treating potential customers with the respect they deserve. After all, life is precious and fleeting—especially for those of us who have faced moments that remind us of our mortality. I was eager to create something meaningful that I had put off for far too long. Instead, I was met with disdain from those who should be champions of creativity. In a realm dedicated to beauty and artistry, I expected much more...
Read moreWe came in to have a watch that my girlfriend (now fiancee thanks to baileys) got me for my birthday resized. I'm realizing now that getting me a watch that was too large may have been a clever ruse to get me in to Bailey's in the first place, but I'm glad she did it because this was a wonderful experience from start to finish. While we were waiting for the watch to be finished, we started casually perusing engagement rings with their salesperson Betty. Betty was great from start to finish and kept in excellent touch with me over the course of the few months it took to find exactly the right diamond and setting. When we finally found the perfect diamond, I decided on using one of their financing options. Unfortunately, it took a few days to get approved, and on the very same day I was approved, I drove to the store to buy the diamond. When I arrived, we discovered that during my short drive to the store, the diamond sold to another customer! I was very disappointed and discouraged, though Betty and the other salespeople there insisted they could find an equivalent diamond. They were correct and delivered on their promise. The very same day the diamond I wanted had sold, they had an identical quality diamond that was actually slightly larger for only 50 dollars more on the way to the store. They even honored the original price for me. Because I thought it might take longer than a few hours to find a diamond, and I had not been to a single other diamond store yet, I decided to check a few other local diamond dealers. Most importantly, nobody could come close to the prices at Bailey's, but nowhere else had the atmosphere of Bailey's. The first store I tried other than Bailey's, I will leave unnamed, but let's just say they are very....direct. Their prices for the exact same size and quality diamond I wanted were more than double Bailey's. None of the other stores in the area could touch the price, quality, or professionalism of Bailey's. I was back the next day to pull the trigger on the diamond they had so expeditiously gotten to the store for me. I never felt pressured to make a purchase at Bailey's like I did at other stores, and I felt like Betty was as invested as I was in finding the perfect diamond. If I could go back and do this over the only thing I would do differently is not waste my time looking around at stores other than Bailey's. I cannot recommend Bailey's enough, and especially this location. They will go above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied and leave as a...
Read moreFirst I want to start with the fact that I have never been a jewelry person. For a few reasons that has been the case being as I have never felt welcomed into a jewelry without fake smiles or a plain " How are you today ". I was brought to the store by a friend to look around to get some ideas on the type of jewelry that would fit me and my style the best on top of looking for a wedding ring. I was introduced to Alex which I have come to look forward to when visiting this store for many reason. Alex took his time basically showing me every piece he had to offer in the store with no sign or feelings of annoyance when people usually do even though he knew I wasn't going to buy anything that day he took his time and let me try on multiple different pieces. His effort definitely paid off in the end when I have been back multiple times and will definitely be going back for more. Even with Alex being amazing I cant not give the other employees there recognition. Even when Alex was busy helping other customers every other employee which i regretfully don't remember by name, did an amazing job on welcoming me and my husband into the store and showing us around.
Overall Alex, the Service, prices, and Comfort the store brings in is unreal and I will definitely be using this store as my GO TO.
HIGHLY...
