In my quest to start living a healthier lifestyle I decided to purchase a new bicycle, I have not owned one for several years and after researching for months today is the day that I decided I would purchase. I completed the transaction online and ordered an additional seat that I wanted to have installed. So I thought I would be proactive and call the store and let them know that I wanted to replace the seat with the one I ordered and have it installed when I pick the bicycle up. The first young lady that answered the phone was no help at all and I asked asked if I could speak to someone in the bicycle department. Teddy answered the phone and I expressed to him that I was unhappy with the first person I spoke with and then I started to explain why I was calling again. After I finished telling Teddy that I wanted to have the additional seat installed he began to tell me that it was too soon, the people need to get all the parts together and we don’t know if we have them all in inventory and that I will get an email when it’s ready. I reiterated what I wanted again and was told that the bike may still be in a box and the inspectors are probably not here and I won’t be able to pick it up today, however he never acknowledged what I was calling about to begin with, so again I reiterated about replacing the seat with the one I purchased. Teddy then asked me if I was ok and I in turn asked him if he was ok. Then I explained to him that this was a big purchase for me and I just want to make sure that it was put together the way I want it. Stopped by to grab a few basic golf items — a box of Pro V1s, tees, gloves, and a SuperStroke 5.0 grip. Planned to browse a bit more for accessories, maybe even upgrade some gear. But instead of help or even a simple “Can I help you with anything?”, I got treated like a shoplifter. The tall bald guy working in the golf section didn’t offer assistance once — just stared me down the entire time. Every aisle I walked into, there he was, lurking like I was doing something wrong. Not subtle, either. Just openly watching me from a few feet away. It was uncomfortable, awkward, and honestly insulting. He followed me from the golf section all the way to checkout. Then stood by the door and literally watched me pay, like he was waiting for me to run out without paying for a bag of tees. If this is how your staff treats paying customers — profiling them, offering zero help, and killing the entire shopping experience with their paranoia — then something needs to change. Immediately. I’ve worked retail. I get loss prevention. But this wasn’t that. This was straight-up unprofessional behavior that bordered on harassment. If this guy can’t handle working around customers without making them feel like criminals, he shouldn't be in customer service. Won’t be returning unless something is...

A big “Hello, how are you?” from the guy at the front upon walking it. I liked this welcome and I know we can not always get it on every single visit depending on how busy the store gets. I appreciated the warm welcome.

There was a bit of a wait in the shoe department. I finally got assistance from Alex. Alex was polite and expressed empathy for the wait. Alex was helpful and knowledgeable. Alex let me know I should have at least 1-inch room at the toe box for comfort in the sneakers I selected. I felt like I was shopping in the 90s again. I rarely get this level of service in stores these days.

The service was appreciated. Alanna was nice and assisted me with correcting the phone number on my rewards account. This was the third time I could not be found because someone typed my phone number incorrectly at the initial setup. I appreciate the initiative to correct it. Hopefully, it's right this time.
