This was our first visit to Petfolk Cary. It was a calming and peaceful vibe from start to finish. We were greeted by name when we walked in and taken immediately to our room where it conveyed the same calming environment. I unzipped Missy’s carrier since we were in a private room. Misdy nosed around a little and then retreated to her carrier and laid down. Missy THE Kitty was so submissive as the vet tech, Anna, talked to her and picked her up from her open carrier cradling Missy in her arm. Missy doesn’t let many folks pet her let alone pick her up. It was literally jaw dropping! Anna got her weight, and took her temperature, then placed her back in her carrier. I looked like the grinch trying to stuff a giant tree in a bag when I was trying to put her in her carrier. Dr. Treadaway came in with Anna to examine Missy and talk with me. I honestly can’t recall who took her from her crate, but they wrapped Missy in a nice comfy towel for their safety and hers; Missy didn’t flinch. She was given her rabies vaccine with zero issues, and a clean bill of health! The flea, tick, and heart worm medication was out of stock but the expected in the next day or two. It was my first visit and I was given a $50 credit to use toward payment. I didn’t get lab work this time since Missy doesn’t show any signs of any issues and Dr. Treadaway says she sounds and looks good. He did suggest a teeth cleaning in the future. First appointment at Petfolk went so perfectly, I couldn't have been happier with my experience. I appreciate how I can see all my dog's records on the screen with the tech. The pricing is transparent and discussed at the beginning of the appt so there was no sticker shock at the end. The vet tech also did some preliminary vitals and ran blood work before I saw the vet. When they "took her to the back" to get her blood drawn, I could see everything through the glass. The vet was also so nice and thorough. She noticed the littlest details with my pup's movements and muscles. We had the best vet experience at Petfolk this morning! The staff was so friendly and gave us plenty of solutions that would work within our budget— we didn’t feel pressured into anything! Gracie hates the vet but the staff made her feel comfortable and content. They were funny and thorough in their explanations and recommendations which helped comfort us as her parents. The environment was very clean and calming. We’re excited about the membership and feel it’ll give us the best bang for our buck! 10/10 experience!
