Terrible experience here. I hate to leave bad reviews for businesses but too many things went wrong in this case for me to ignore. When I initially got there I picked out a color it was a gel color so you pick it out on the samples and then they get the color for you. BUT my technician did not get the color for me instead he began to do my nails. As he’s doing my nails he just seems very unsure of the process the entire time. For example instead of taking the entire broken acrylic nail off of the nails that I needed fixed he first filed off the gel polish and then took off the broken acrylic. Anyone who gets their nails done frequently understands that usually a technician would just take the entire broken acrylic nail off. Additionally, his technique when filing my nails was horrendous! Many times the nail file was in direct contact with my fingers which was very very painful. I yelped in pain and pulled my hand back multiple times almost on every finger that he filed. my nails turned out completely different shapes and lengths. This is the worst set of coffin nails that I have ever had. I’m embarrassed for people to look at my nails. I told him that on my right hand my ring fingernail was going to break if he didn’t add more acrylic to it to strengthen it. I could already see and feel that it was flexing under the pressure of my thumb and that it would eventually break. He did indeed put more acrylic on it. It seemed that it but he left a large chunk of acrylic behind the nail which made it still weaker in the middle of the nail and it just broke tonight 4 days later!! When it finally came time to polish my nails he went to get the nail polish that I had asked for in the beginning but said that the bottle was empty. He tried multiple times to convince me to get another color which I wasn’t having. He made no effort to apologize or to rectify the situation by giving me a lower price or discount because of the inconvenience of me having to pick another color. He didn’t make any effort to see if they had the color in stock. I understand that not all colors are always in stock but this is why you should always check the polish before you tell the client that you can polish their nails that color. VERY disappointed with the entire experience. Too bad I really wanted to like the salon since it’s walking distance from my house, but I won’t...
Read moreTLDR; Extremely Rude Owner. We were accused of not paying and were berated for 5 minutes by the owner while we're trying to explain that we had just paid using a combination of a gift card + credit card. My wife left this place in tears.
The salon looks nice and clean, and so we thought of buying a gift card for our friend on her birthday. The staff operating their register didn't know how to activate the card and so she asked us to come back after a few hours to complete the purchase - which we did - no issues.
A few weeks later our friend told us she liked the place and we were happy to hear that.
We went in today to get pedicures - the owner was helping one of us and we were happy with the service. However, when we went to pay, the owner had already left and her staff didn't understand how to process the gift card. We helped their staff use the gift card and paid for the remaining balance and tip using a credit card. The staff lady wasn't sure and so called the owner to confirm if the payment went through. We heard the owner yelling at her staff over the phone (in Vietnamese) while we were waiting to understand what was going on. Then 10 minutes later she shows up and struggles to find the gift card transaction in her system. While my wife was explaining the sequence we followed to pay using the Gift Card + Credit Card, she started berating my wife loudly - "You did not pay, you did not pay" over and over again, refusing to let us explain. In the meantime, I was calling the tech-support number on her point-of-sale system to get a tech-support person on the line to help the owner find the transaction, but the owner finally found it and tried to play it off as if it was no big deal. My wife let her know that this is not the way to talk to anyone and no one has ever spoken to us (yelled at us) this way. The owner then changed her tack and wanted to offer us a gift card to make amends and spent 10 minutes apologizing. To be gracious we heard her out, but we're not setting foot into that pedicure place again (no pun intended). If you can't trust a couple in their 40s to pay, you don't deserve loyal customers. It's such a pity because they're right across the...
Read moreOne of the worst ever experience, the owner/manager (may be Kelly) was so rude that she was yelling at us in the salon. She ruined my daughters first salon experience. Felt like that behavior was more racial. Don't go there, unless you want to pay hundred bucks to be yelled at. While I was getting a pedicure, my 9 yr old daughter is getting her manicure. This lady was aslo asking my daughter details about my work and other personal things, in my absence. Very unprofessional behavior and a racist salon.
Update: What disruption did my son cause to your business? He was perplexed for being yelled at for sitting beside his mom, instead of at waiting area? Why would someone expect their 5-year old (I don’t know how she knew his age) to sit in the waiting area? Is this conveyed anywhere when we came in? Did you communicate with us? I and other lady were the only customers when we arrived! Discounted rates? I bought one Groupon for myself -$65 for pedicure! My daughters was full prize! And the gel nail polish she got started to come out the next day! So you say that your behavior for people who buy Groupons is warranted ? Then why did you advertise on Groupon? Will make sure to report to Groupon about this behavior! Very unprofessional even...
