When I was going through the line I was thinking that the vegetable section is where you order your salad. I had never asked for one but this time I was shopping for someone else. When I mentioned a salad I got reprimanded by one of the older ladies. She said, "Nextime you tell me at the front that you want a salad. Instead of waiting till checkout." Even though I wasn't even at the register yet. I was waiting on my last sadwhich. I feel that if she said it a different way it wouldn't bother me as much. I do understand in a way but at the same time I thought that since she was covering the bread and starting the sandwiches that it would be further down the line that I should ask. Like by the vegetables. I felt like I was being scolded and it didn't feel nice. I was just trying to go down the line and not hold up the family waiting behind me. Also, the same lady was was coming off rude after she scolded me she proceeded to rush the family that was waiting after me. She was speaking to her husband and instead of waiting till she turned to her, she kept trying to talk/half yell over them and the way she said it seemed like she was on the verge of yelling any second. Read moreI am very disappointed in the behavior of the employees here. I work in the same area in one of the suites in this shopping center. I've frequent this establishment many times to purchase their fresh baked cookies and tuna salad. I, also love their ice so I asked one of the regular employees, the short young man, if I could get ice with my clear cup for free. He said it was okay and thereafter, I would speak everyday to let my presence be known, by speaking, and grabbed ice and sometimes my favorite cookies but I noticed the older employee, male, would give me a funny look so finally one day, when I came in to get ice with my cup, this older employee stopped me and informed me that the owner was watching me on camera coming in to get ice and wanted me to stop. I reminded him that I was granted permission all this time and offered to purchase the ice, but I decided to get ice elsewhere since it was a problem and I chose never to purchase anything from this establishment again and have informed my fellow employees and others of this behavior. Read moreService tonight (Feb 10) at this Subway store was well below the standard I have come to expect from other outlets. When I arrived, the one other customer was being checked out at the cash register. Another employee was preparing bread to be cooked and he completely ignored me. The girl at the cash finished with her customer and then she went to work restocking the lettuce bin. Neither employee acknowledged the fact that I was standing there waiting. I was about the leave when the fellow finished preparing 4 pans of bread and mumbled something in my direction. I complained that it was about time and he said he was busy making bread! When I continued to express my displeasure, he invited me to leave if I wanted to, so I did. As I was leaving I heard them both laughing.
I realize it is difficult to find employees in the food service industry these days, but these 2 are not just incompetent, they're causing harm to their employer's business. I won't be back to that store. Those employees need...
