Nail Rustique used to be my "go to" salon in the area. The space is clean and inviting, plus the location is great. I've always had great service performed by Jane and Lynn.
Today, however, the female technician I was paired with completely ruined it for me. I was made to feel so disrespected, like a child being reprimanded. I arrived with a friend and asked for a gel manicure. This technician recommended dip powder since my nails were short and weak. I took her recommendation and mentioned the color I wanted. I had picked out a color off of the color palette, but when the color was applied, she immediately noticed that the sample looked nothing like the actual color that came out, so she removed it. Then, she recommended a different color that she really liked on another customer. When hesitated to agree with her that it looked great, she removed the powder while complaining that this is hard to remove, so I told her that I'd keep that color (TO APPEASE HER!) and then she threw a tantrum saying that she wanted me to walk out of here liking the color. Then, very abruptly, she had the male technician (Tony), who was in the middle of servicing another client, switch places with her. I felt very rushed by him and pressured to pick a nail color quickly so he could start my nails. I didnāt understand the urgency since the shop was particularly empty. I informed him that he was rushing me and I wanted my nails done by someone else. My pedicure and dip polish was done by lean and Lynn it was okay. No massage done with my pedicure. There is polish around my fingers from the clear nail polish being painted on my finger and dip powder. I arrived at 1:30 and left at 3. I had to return because two or the dipped nails were not smooth. The same male manager informed me that the lady who did my nails had left and since I said I told no to him earlier he wouldnāt fix it. I actually didnāt want him too but I asked him to ask the 4 other ppl in the salon to fix it rather than return the next day. The owner fixed my nails with no problem. I expressed my concerns about the male manager and was informed it was due to English being his second language. Iām not sure about that because he spoke clearly to me just fine. He is just rude and in a rush for now reason. The ambiance is nice but he needs to stay in the back and ease up. No one can pick a color as soon as they walk...

First, it was freezing cold outside, and instead of using warm water for my pedicure, the nail tech put my feet in cold waterāabsolutely unacceptable. The entire service was rushed, with no care or attention to detail. A "deluxe" pedicure lasted barely 15 minutes, with no proper foot massage, and when I got home, I noticed my polish was already messed up. To make matters worse, I also got my eyebrows waxed, and shortly after, I developed bumps all around my eyebrows; clearly, their waxing materials were unsanitary. Speaking of cleanliness, the pedicure tub was dirty, which was extremely concerning. What really baffles me is that I was the only customer in the salon, yet the nail tech still rushed through everything like she couldnāt be bothered. After messing up my nails, she went back to sit down and scrolled on her phone instead of providing proper service. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I do NOT recommend this place at all.
