Fancy Fruit & Produce — Local services in Casselberry

Went to fancy fruit like always. We shop there every weekend. Decided to buy there premium scallops. One container weighed .53 onces and the others weight was .58 so basically just over 1 pound of scallops between the 2. Tonight for dinner we thawed out the scallops. Once thawed there was not much scallops in each container. We drained the water from each container and poured the scallops togeather in one container. After weighing the container we got 9 onces just over a half a pound when we should have had over a pound of scallops. They are charging you for water half the weigh of the container. Just called the manager at the Casselberry location and he wanted to argue with me that it's not something they package that they buy it from somewhere else. I told him I don't care that's not the issue the issue is they are charging for a half a pound of scallops when they're only giving you a quarter of a pound the rest is water weight. He did not even seem to care and said he would speak with the Butcher and maybe they should buy their stuff from a different supplier. No making it correct with the customer. They just flat out didn't care....

I am not a regular here - I stop in maybe every 6 months for something i need quick and cheap like an avocado or grapes or a dessert. I do find the fruit and produce to be very reasonable priced but the quality is mixed. But i recognize the importance of a store that caters twords a specific ethnicity. This store is loaded with items that cater to a Latin clientele. When i was growing up I'd go to a Middle Eastern Market with my dad or Grandmother. My mom would often take me to an Italian Market. This business provides a valuable service of allowing Latin people to purchase food they seek all in 1 location and it looked to me that it was also very social. The checkout lady seemed to know both lady's in front of me very well. Also a customer dropped a glass jar and liquid and glass was everywhere. 2 or 3 employees where there within seconds to clean up and temporarily rope the area off. This shows pride and concern for the safety of the stores shoppers. This market servers a niche and they seem to do...

The place is big and has variety, but we had someone who appeared to be following us. He wasn’t buying anything, as he didn’t have anything in hand and no cart or basket. He was walking around aimlessly, going to every isle we went, weird.

The cashier was super rude and unprofessional. I greeted her and asked how she was but she did not answer. We said thank you, and no answer. My mom asked a question, and she just told us to ask another guy, who seemed to be the manager? I found out she just didn’t hear me when I greeted her because she complained to the customer behind us how she said hi, and we didn’t answer. A miscommunication can happen, but the way she handled was very unprofessional, as she complained about us when we were right there.

The other employee, was also very rude and dismissive. Needless to say, we are not going back. And as you can see, this is not an isolated incident, since I see many reviews complaining about...
